"We enjoyed our stay here very much, the house is nice and roomy and well equipped. It’s in a private area with gate system which gives a very secure feeling although being in a sleepy village there wasn’t any cause for worry. parking space for 2 cars. We were glad of the airco in the dining area as temperatures got quite high in the afternoon/evening. "Me and my partner chose to stay here with our dog as we had not visited Alsace before. The property is in a great position in a lovely quiet village with easy road and rail access to Strasbourg. Bruno the owner was very welcoming and the property is clean and full of lots of interesting historical pieces of art and furniture. There is plenty of space with three bedrooms and the kitchen is well fitted out with all modern appliances. I would highly recommend this property."

"We stayed for 1.5 weeks in this very pleasant cottage. It has a small kitchen on the ground floor, lounge and dining table on the first floor and a nice bedroom in the attic. The cottage is newly refurbished with new wooden floorboards and beams complementing the original 18th-century ones which gives it a nice atmosphere. The cottage is only a few minutes' walk from the vineyards and the dozens of well-marked trails that criss-cross the Alsace region, including the GR5 route. Barr serves well...

"Terrasse envahie par les mauvaises herbes, 2 des chambres en mezzanine qui donnent sur la cuisine et le salon sans aucune aeration donc irrespirables quand il fait chaud, pas de détecteur de fumée, équipement de base non présent ( passoire, planche à découper...). A noter la proximité immédiate d'une ferme d'élevage et des inconvénients associés. Dommage, car la propriété et ses environs sont très agréables, avec la proximité d'un plan d'eau avec sa petite plage."

"This is a perfect holiday location....the apartment has everything you need & was spotlessly clean. Gengenbach is probably the prettiest town we saw in the Black Forest & a fantastic base to explore the region. We stayed 11 nights & used the train on the Konus card scheme every day bar 1.....great for taking the stress away & having a German beer or 2! Anja was fantastic in welcoming us & giving lots of tips on where to eat etc....she was always at the end of the phone if we had a question....
