I stay here every time I'm in Edinburgh. It's a quirky fun hotel, the rooms are tiny, and getting to the rooms is sometimes like being in a maze. It's a very cool little place right in the heart of old town, walkable to everything.

Grassmarket was a great hotel for our week stay in Edinburgh. Walkable to all attractions and great starting point to explore from. Staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable-shared valuable information and always eager to help. Fun pub with live music attached to the hotel. Highly recommend!

The Grassmarket is the BEST place to get a hotel if you're looking to get into the hustle and bustle of Edinburgh. It's right next to the iconic Victoria Street, and there's so many options for eating, drinking, and exploring right when you step outside! The staff is so nice and welcoming, and the bar that's attached is so cool as well!

Perfect location. Clean rooms and nice bedding. Room was very small but met my needs. However, the maze of the hallways and up and down stairs (no elevator) was insane. Had I known, I would have booked a room on the first floor. I was very thankful the staff helped with luggage and navigating the maze to my room. The rates were very expensive for what it was. But I’m realizing hotel rates in Edinburgh are high.

The beds were very comfortable and the room had all that we needed. Staff was very accommodating and friendly. We enjoyed our stay. Location, location, location! This hotel’s location seriously can’t be beat. On the corner of the colorful Victoria Street and walking distance to the castle. The grassmarket is a lively area to visit with its pubs and shops.The view of the castle at night is remarkable. If you’re looking for quiet, peaceful nights, though, this might not be the location for you.
