Welcome home! Discover the beauty of Edisto all from the doorstep of Myra's Cottage. With tasteful upgrades throughout, this classic beach cottage has all the comforts you need for a dream vacation.

Here in the heart of Edisto, you're within a short walk of dining, shopping, and the stunning Atlantic Ocean. You won’t even need to get back into the car once you arrive. An open, beachfront lot across from the home provides views of the shore. Sit back and relax in the swing under the shade of the screened porch or take advantage of the open deck equipped with a picnic table and rockers to provide the perfect seat to soak in views of the ocean and passing pelicans in formation. Island charm and whimsy will surround you as you enjoy family time inside the cozy living room. And depending on the season that you visit, you may be lucky enough to see loggerhead turtles nesting or hatching. Memories are made every day on Edisto Beach, and Myra's Cottage is waiting to host your next vacation.

The third full bathroom (shower only) is downstairs, with a separate entry
Due to this home's location on Palmetto Boulevard and per the Edisto Beach Police Department, golf carts cannot be driven to or from the property
No smoking

If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us.

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 3 vehicles.



Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

We loved our stay at Myra’s Cottage! We were a little concerned about staying on first block but it was a great location! Loved that beach access was right across the road and we had a great view of the ocean! We had a turtle bed at our access and was excited that they would hatch while we were there! They hatched during the night before we left so we didn’t get to see them! It was a wonderful vacation with my family!

Great location, ok stay

Good for families, but not families with kids younger than about 8, had to do some things like moving the drawer of knives up when we got in so kiddo wouldn't get into them. Porch is great, would be nice if there were a true door latch, being located on a relatively busy road. Please get the roach problem taken care of, I'd say one is not a big deal, they happen in SC, but not 3 in the same area at different times during the stay.andnicehaveppleathaof.

Edisto 2024

We enjoyed our stay very much. Older home but that’s what gave it an authentic beach cottage feel. Front porch was awesome - we ate most of our meals there and it was perfect for my 4 yo grandson. Loved that it was directly across from beach access.

The best location and ideal for our family

Our family of 6 adults, 1 child (infant) and pups very much enjoyed every moment of our stay at Myra’s cottage. The front porch was the best part and has the most beautiful view of the ocean. The cottage is very charming and fit our needs perfectly. We hope to be back again!

Memorial Day Week 2022

We stayed in this home the week of Memorial Day 2022. The house was great, very clean, online listing was very accurate. It’s such a nice second row home because the lot across the street is vacant so you actually get an oceanfront view. There were a couple of downsides, nothing major, just a few things to make note of. The house is older and the doors are older, the door of the queen room in the front of the house is nearly impossible to open sometimes. You had to literally hit the sweet spot for the door to open. The 2 singles with trundles room was not quite as bad, but also difficult at times to open. There are a few soft spots in the floors throughout the house and the shower in the king bedroom is very tiny. There is an open outdoor shower and a bathroom downstairs, but neither of the two keys provided to us by Vacasa opened the bathroom door downstairs. The stove and oven were not great and when we arrived the pots and pans that were in the cabinet had at least an inch of standing water in them. Unsure of how that happened. The laundry room took us a minute to find, it’s under the house through the barn doors in the carport. Although I have a few complaints, this house was great. It was the perfect size for our family of 8 and we truly enjoyed our stay. The screened in front porch was our favorite place of the house. We spent most of our time there when not in the beach. Equipped with a swing, 6 rocking chairs, two wicker chairs and a wicker couch and a table and chairs to seat 6, which we ate supper at several nights. We wanted to rent a golf cart for the week, but it was listed that you could not rent a golf cart for that address because you cannot drive golf carts along Palmetto Blvd. With that being said, I was rather irritated by the fact that their were golf carts cruising up and down Palmetto Blvd all week. Obviously, this was not an issue with the rental, but it’s hard to see the purpose behind our house not being allowed to have a golf cart. All and all I highly recommend this stay and will most likely return.

Good stay

Overall was a good stay. There was 6 adult women. The porch was our favorite. It’s oversized and just absolutely perfect. One of the reasons we rented this house was it had 3 and half bathrooms. With 6 women that’s important! The 3 full bath is under the house, which is fine. But we could get the door unlocked. Called the office was told someone would be out… nothing. Called the next morning and someone said they would put in a ticket.. nothing. Finally got someone at the local off and they sent someone out. They had to pick the lock. Long story short. The bathroom has NO AIR, water pressure is absolutely horrible and hot water is a total hit and miss. Upstair bathrooms were ok. Stove burners were uneven and old. Oven was great! Much newer then the cooktop. Location is amazing! Would rent again IF there was less in the group.

Little slice of Paradise

We had an amazing time. The view, screen porch and location really make this place. The home itself could use some cosmetic updates but the layout was good for my family. I immensely enjoyed watching the pelicans fly by and the convenience of the beach access right across the street.

This house makes everything easy

Great house and great location! The front porch is massive and we spent 90% of our time there, looking at the waves. Very well stocked kitchen and nearby store and restaurants made meals easy. The street is the main artery for the town and I thought it got a little loud sometimes, but no one else in my group said they noticed so probably not an issue for most people. We also visited the trails at the state park and the Serpentarium.

Lovely house with a view

The house was as expected. There were some comments about needing updating and while my spouse agreed, i say the house has character and i liked it the way it was. Beautiful ocean view and sounds and fabulous screened in porch. The beds were comfortable and tvs in every room giving us all our own spaces for downtime. Kitchen had plenty of cookware and utensils (does need a rubber scraper). Loved that Myra’s framed photography is hung on walls. Everything is pretty spread out (beyond the island) so be prepared for driving. Overall very glad we rented here and if I could afford it would do it again.

Exactly as the description said it would be

The property was great for what we needed. The location was perfect because we went across the street to the beach and had great views. It is an older house, so you have to expect that it would not be pristine...in that there is normal wear and tear...but it was just what a beach cottage should be. Bathrooms were clean, as was kitchen. We didn't have to call the management team for anything at all!

Great Week

This house was as expected. Almost has it's own personality. Great location across the street from the beach with access directly across the road. Edisto Island is one of our favorites and this house was a great find.

Christmas and New Years 2020

House was cozy, comfortable and had an unobstructed view of the beach (other than sand dunes, of course). Great screened and unscreened porches look out to the beach. Very much enjoyed our stay and would rent again.

Wonderful classic Edisto house close to the beach!

The house was everything we'd hoped for with plenty of room for all of us, including a 15-month-old. The view from the porch was wonderful, and having a washer and dryer downstairs was great. We didn't use the space under the house, but it was big enough for a cornhole game or outdoor gathering, and the back yard was perfect for walking our dog. Being able to have our pet with us was an added bonus! The only thing we did not like was the heavy traffic noise. It was constant, and I kept wondering how much worse it would be in the summer if it was this bad in November! The beach access was very convenient. We may choose this house again, but my choice would be to go further away from the business end of the beach to avoid the traffic.

Location, location, location!

Despite not being ocean front, the views were not obstructed and the beach access path was literally across from the driveway! Great location! The house was very well stocked- extra blankets, puzzles/games, books, and everything you could need in the kitchen! We knew it was pet friendly, and it was very clean and well kept, but there was pet hair tucked away in places missed by the cleaning crew! To the owners 😁*would of loved if the lower level had a community area- for old sand toys, buggie boards, bikes etc - stuff people may not want to take home, but still had life

Myra's Cottage Review

Good Things: location, view, porches, plenty of pillows & blankets, Atwood Agency employees nice and helpful, beds comfortable. Lots of counter space in kitchen. NOT so good things: Not enough towels provided and you can't get more. Light Switches not labeled. Finding washer and dryer was difficult and no directions provided on how to do so. Shower water in Jack & Jill bathroom only spews hot. Also in that bathroom , sink so small you can't wash face without water going everywhere. There is only 1 actual bathtub in the house and it wasn't very clean at all. Cat litter on floor by bed in master suite. Kitchen Cabinets Doors were not clean (stained with food spills) . Several pots and pans need replacing from rusty, scratched bottoms. Stove top eyes have tin foil under them that were dirty with food deposits. Rocking chair on porch so old and rotted the back rails literally came out when one of our members leaned back. Kitchen sink had 2 very dirty , mildewed rubber sink stoppers. Rain water runs into bottom level storage and wash room. The shower curtains are either filthy on the bottoms or stained very badly . Need replacing! Once connection was lost on TVs , reconnection never happened no matter what the directions offered. The table in the kitchen very old, and rickety. Almost like a folding table on it's last leg. This property has potential but needs LOTS of tweeking.

Myra’s Cottage

Once we got the showers repaired on Wednesday things went much better. The owners/custodians need to hire an exterminator. There were live cockroaches inside the house and black widow spiders outside in the grill and also the laundry area.
