Temperature:
There is no central AC, but the basement stays cool in summer. The unit has a separate furnace and Thermostat so you can control your own temperature 🌡️. Extra blankets are provided for colder days.
Parking:
Parking spot available upon request, not guaranteed. Free street parking is available on 97st. Limited front parking is available after 6pm on weekdays.
Guests have full PRIVATE access to the entire basement suite, including:

You’ll have everything you need for a comfortable and independent stay. There are NO SHARED SPACES — your suite is completely self-contained.

Check-in is at 4 PM and check-out at 11 AM. Quiet hours run from 11 PM–7 AM. The base rate includes 2 guests (maximum occupancy 2). All overnight guests must be registered in advance. No smoking or vaping indoors; outdoor use is allowed if cleaned up. One small pet may be approved in advance. Utilities are included up to $250 per stay. Parking is not guaranteed, but free street parking is available nearby; any granted spot must be registered and vehicles left after checkout may be towed. ✅ This property has special local compliance requirements which include a signed rental agreement, ID verification, and a security hold of $1000 CAD (which is not a traditional security deposit, just a pending transaction). As an optional alternative to the security hold, you may opt in to purchase a non-refundable damage waiver provided by a third-party insurance company. The optional damage waiver is $8/night up to a max of $59. Damage waiver purchases are optional.
To make this process easy for you, we use a secure and very simple, app-free platform called Linkbase. It is not an app, and you do not have to sign up for an account - it’s a safe and secure website. It also gives you a guest portal with all the info about the home and all of my favorite local spots.
Your guest portal includes advertisements with third-party upgrades that you may want to enhance your stay. These upgrades are optional and include:
Early Checkin Request - $35 (1hr), $50 (2hr)
Late Checkout Request - $80 (1hr), $100 (2hr)
*In accordance with VRBO’s terms of service, we are permitted to collect the security hold or optional damage waiver outside the VRBO platform. All requirements are handled securely through our trusted Linkbase guest portal.
