"Such a quaint old Welsh building in a lovely rural setting just outside of the market town of Ruthin (it is in the middle of a static caravan park but a very pleasant one). A great location for exploring the many places to see around the area . Rooms are of a good size and well equipped. "Sadly disappointing - cleanliness lower than expected; stains on furniture and bedding, rips in carpet, dusty and flickering light fittings, dust in wardrobe and bedside cabinets. Air con in room not working; small fan already switched on in room upon arrival. Windows could not be fully opened (understandable due to health and safety) - but some were totally sealed due to being covered in layers of paint. Breakfast okay but dirty tables and cobwebs on walls. I’m not against dogs staying at any...

"Lovely hotel."

"It's a lovely setting where the hotel is situated and a place you might not be aware of even if you know the area well. We stayed mostly because a lot of the large chain places were charging a lot more for the weekend and I didn't mind driving to the event we were attending. The grounds are picturesque and the room is lovely, but it does need a bit of updating.
