"Loved the history of this hotel. Beautifully preserved and maintained, with exception to the carpet in the lift, which has seen some rough days with lughgage. Our room felt like a bit of a dud, way at the back of the hotel with a brick wall and roof view. Incredibly comfortable room and bed though. Could do with plugs easier to find, rather than behind bed at skirting level, but historic hotel so allowances made. Wonderful welcoming staff. A gorgeous place to stay."

"Recently renovated rooms were a fun surprise, given the hotel itself had old original exterior & interior (which is also lovely). Great location right on the round about, so close for meandering to shops, cafes, park/playground if you're travelling with kids. Great hotel rates for what's on offer "

"I was very comfortable at Mid City Motel. It had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. It is quiet & protected & within walking distance of shops, eateries & all the central facilities. It has covered parking off the main street which is great. The staff were so helpful & friendly & supportive. I will be staying here again on my next visit to Ballarat & happily recommend to others. "
