"I was surprised to find the hotel to be a series of redecorated airforce barracks. By and large, it was a well maintained and pleasant area. What I did not know was that I had to park the equivalent of 2 blocks away from check-in, as it was a busy holiday weekend. my room was another equivalent of 1-2 blocks away. I had to drag luggage all his distance. There was no elevator (I am 74 and at this point, I was exhausted). The room was quite nice. The bath tub area had stretches of very visible black mold, and as I am treated for mold allergies, this distressed me. The very old tub had no grab bars, no anti-slip strips, and was, not to exaggerate, extremely slippery and dangerous. I had to place a towel on floor of tub to prevent slipping. After shower, I found that the restaurant was closed (6 pm). The neighborhood is light industry, nothing but a rare fast food outlet. Nearest residential neighborhood was clearly impoverished, nearly devoid of businesses on streets. I was hungry and tired, in a town not familiar to me. I left and went back home to San Francisco."
