Right in downtown, air conditioned with a fully equipped kitchen, perfect for the infant and toddler. Check in was easy and everything was in order. We very much enjoyed our stay in Empire. "Both my husband and I immediately loved the condo and location. The inside had everything you could need, was comfortable and clean. The location was great, right on Portage lake, with docks my kids liked to fish off of, and lake mi beach very close by. Water was shallow for a ways at both beaches. Looking forward to coming back again."

"Beautifully renovated condo in a classic lake Michigan resort town. We are thinking about returning next year. If you’re new to Vrbo, be careful of the up charges. We were a little surprised by the overall ticket price. .There were a couple of cleaning issues: The coffee maker wasn’t clean, there was a Q-tip in the fold out couch, and all the doors squeaked so we oiled them. Duncan, our contact person, didn’t return the message we left. Thankfully, it wasn’t an emergency."
