"Enjoyed a three night stay with family. The listing is very accurate. This is glamping. If that is what you are expecting you should be delighted. Some nice additional highlights were an ample source of firewood, nice swings, a battery operated fan. Also, the shower was a pleasant surprise. I was not expecting a hot shower. "Kitchen / living room + 1 bedroom + 1bathroom Really clean with a really good size for 2 people ; a family with young children might work, but probably a little small for 4 adults. Kitchen could have been more furnished with closing containers to keep the remains of cooking. Good location, close to groceries, about 5-7 min from the main street at lake placid."

"The owner was my guardian angel and I'm so grateful for him! !! I got left in Lake Placid during a bus trip to Niagaa Falls and I ended up in the ER for 12 hours. I ended up being stuck in town with no ride and the only bus route for the weekend wouldve been a 20 hour ride for 4 hrs of distance. I had no money until I got paid the following day. He gave me the room until my check hit the bank which was so kind of him!! Most people wouldn't have hltthe chance"

Lake House at High Peaks Resort

10/10 Excellent

"When we checked in at 11pm, there was no one at the front desk so we had to go across to High Peaks to check in. They were also out of water in the lobby the next day. Other than that, we are very happy with the Lake House and all their amenities. The access to Mirror Lake and pool, as well as their paddle boards and boats make for a fantastic stay! Also their proximity to town is great. And lastly, the fact that they are pet friendly is key for us. Great stay!"

"Overall a very good 2-day stay. Check‐in was ok. The elevators were out of order. So we had to use the service elevators. But the check-in itself was very easy. The staff was very helpful and went out of their way to provide great service. We had a room on Main street. So it was a bit noise, especially when the garbage truck picked up garbage. I suggest trying to get a room on the parking lot side. The location was great- near everything!"
