Unlike many mountain cabins, you'll enjoy an easy drive with paved roads all the way to the property. Relax in the hot tub overlooking the Cartecay River, gather around the fire pit under the stars, cast a fishing line from the backyard, or spend the day tubing and kayaking right from the property.

Please Note: The hot tub deck and front porch are newly constructed additions to Cartecay Landing. The pressure-treated wood is still drying and will be stained/painted once it has properly cured. The spaces are fully usable and available for guests to enjoy during their stay.

Located just steps from the Mulkey Road take-out area, Cartecay Landing offers easy access to the Cartecay River Experience. Guests can walk to the take-out area and catch the shuttle to the rental location, where they can rent tubes or kayaks or arrange shuttle service if bringing their own equipment. Choose the Adventure River Experience to float back to the Mulkey Road take-out area or continue on to Cartecay Landing's private beach access.

Perfect for families and groups, the property features a 2-bedroom, 1-bath main cabin plus a private riverfront guest cottage just steps away with its own queen-sized bed, twin-sized sofa bed, bathroom, kitchenette, screened porch, and separate entrance.

**Dog-Friendly**

We know vacations are even better when the whole family can come along—including your four-legged family members! Cartecay Landing welcomes up to **2 well-behaved dogs** with a **$200 pet fee per stay**. We kindly ask that dogs are house-trained, cleaned up after, kept off the furniture, and not left unattended unless crated so we can continue offering a pet-friendly experience for future guests.

**Connectivity**

Cell phone service can be limited depending on your carrier, which is common in the North Georgia mountains. The property offers high-speed Wi-Fi throughout, and if your phone supports Wi-Fi Calling, you'll be able to make and receive calls while connected. As with any mountain location, internet service may occasionally be interrupted due to severe weather or outages affecting the local provider.

**A Note About the Location**

One of Cartecay Landing's biggest advantages is its location just steps from the Mulkey Road take-out area, making it incredibly convenient for enjoying the Cartecay River. Guests can walk to the take-out area and catch the shuttle to the Cartecay River Experience, where they can rent tubes and kayaks.

**Tubing & Kayaking:** Cartecay River Experience currently offers tube rentals for **$15** and kayak rentals for **$30**. **Cash is recommended.** Pickup from the Mulkey Road take-out area may be available if space permits. Guests bringing their own tubes or kayaks may also be able to arrange shuttle service for a fee. Rental prices and shuttle availability are subject to change, so we recommend confirming current details directly with Cartecay River Experience.

For the Adventure River Experience, guests can enjoy a scenic float down the Cartecay River and return to the Mulkey Road take-out area—or continue downstream to Cartecay Landing's private beach access, allowing you to finish your river adventure right at your own vacation rental.

The Lazy River Experience ends at a different location, so guests should choose the Adventure River Experience if they want the option of returning to the Mulkey Road take-out area or continuing to the property's beach access.

During tubing season, shuttle buses and guests are frequently present along the road in front of the property. You'll be able to see some of this activity from the front yard through the landscaping. However, the backyard, riverside deck, screened porches, hot tub, fire pit, and beach access are tucked away behind the home and offer a much more private, peaceful setting where the sound of the Cartecay River is what you'll notice most.

Rental Agreement
Guests are required to sign a separate rental agreement within 48 hours of booking. For last-minute reservations, the agreement must be completed before check-in instructions are released.

Security Deposit
A $500 security deposit hold is required 2 days prior to arrival. This is a temporary authorization (not a charge) and will be automatically released after checkout, provided there is no damage to the property or violations of the rental agreement.

Weather & Travel Insurance
Weather in the North Georgia mountains can be unpredictable and is outside of our control. Severe weather may occasionally impact road conditions, power, internet, or other utility services. Refunds cannot be issued for weather-related events or interruptions caused by circumstances beyond our control. We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance for added peace of mind in case your plans are affected.
