"The location and external facade were amazing. However, our room was right next to the hotel events centre. With a wedding until 12:30 and a noisy pack up until 2:30, it wasn’t very restful. Additionally, our room was serviced even though we had a sign out not to enter and they automatically checked us out early, even though we hadn’t left the hotel yet or running late."

"We stayed in the Sandymount for two nights. I had previously been told it was busy but when we arrived I was amazed at the number of cars in the car park. This was a good sign. The hotel was lovely and we had great rooms and the staff were attentive at all times. Not far from the city centre by car, and I would have been prepared to walk if others in my party would have joined me. The breakfast was good. The property itself is quirky because it is effectively a bunch of old victorian villas joined together and extended at the rear. Some of the rooms might not have an external view, but the rooms were well decorated and furnished and the little distance to the city centre meant some peace and tranquility. I would definitely stay here again."

"The Herbert Park hotel is really well located on multiple well served public transport routes into the city. Rooms are spacious and clean, the breakfast buffet is plentiful (although the cups are teeny!). It can be tough to get parking sometimes and a personal gripe of mine is having to pay for parking as well as for a hotel room.. but that’s maybe just me. The staff we encountered were all lovely and friendly."

"Our whole stay was amazing. We had the best staff member who cleaned our room, gave us extra towels and made sure we had everything we needed. So helpful and kind. I would recommend anyone going to Ireland to stay here. So close to public transportation and just a wonderful hotel."

"Staff were lovely. Kitchen adequately equipped. My room was mostly clean, clean bedding, clean surfaces but definitely needs a deep clean (lots of dust under furniture and accumulated on curtains, floors hadn’t been washed), and unfortunately only one of the three shared dryers were working during my stay. Amazing location."
