Fab little hotel

"We've stayed at this hotel several times now and have never been disappointed. All the rooms we have been allocated have overlooked the river and one has a lovely balcony. Service has always been very good with the staff being friendly and helpful. Breakfast has plenty of choice and the cooked breakfasts are fresh and tasty. We have also had a couple of meals, again, these have been very nice. Never had a problem parking the car in the hotels allocated spaces. Overall i think this hotel offers excellent value for money. "

Decent hotel

"We were at the hotel only for one night so we didn't see much of it. There's a very convenient parking area. The rooms are a decent size and quite comfortable with free water and a coffee machine and pods, a boiler and tea. The bathroom, especially the toilet were rather dirty (we were in room 1). "

Not ready for prime-time

"Good points: - Location - Funky, olde style house with lots of character Bad points: - General cleanliness was very poor. There was an ant-infestation in the kitchen. - No WiFi. We were given a wifi code from the hotel, but the location of this rental unit is too far away from the hotel for reception. - No bedding for the sofa bed. This was provided by the hotel but we had to ask specifically. - The beds are very uncomfortable. - No pots or pans were in the kitchen on arrival. We had to ask the hotel for these. - The laundry facilities were old and very sketchy. It was necessary to plug the washing machine in via an extension cord that crossed the hall and part of the dining room. The dryer was precariously placed on top of the washer at an alarming angle. - Controls for the heating didn't appear to work. - The master bedroom was very hot on account of the hot water tank being located in a wardrobe in this room. This is an issue during hot weather, but would not be a problem during cooler weather."

"No where to check in or out . No one on the premises. Did find someone who didnt speak english. Had to wait for the owner to arrive. . Rooms dirty. decor nice but not done to nice standard. No one on site over night and no contact number given ICE. No one on site in the morning to check out and nowhere to leave key. just left in room . sash Windows in room do not stay open had to use a cup to hold it up. no fan or aircon. TV had splashes all over screen. Bathroom dirty. Glasses had dirty rim around them. Hotel seating area chairs covered in paint. No attention to detail. Has massive potential bad sadly not up to par. "
