"Edna’s Cottage is wonderful. It’s in the ideal location with paths on the doorstep with a range of walks. It was quiet and we spent time in the beautiful garden which was magical. There was a lovely traditional range and an adequately kitted out kitchen. The bathroom is spacious with plenty of hot water and a good shower. The double bedroom has a comfy bed and a large closet for storage and hanging clothes. The two single beds were unfortunately extremely uncomfortable and two of our group had...

"Stayed for 2 nights in Shelley Cottage. Great location and Keswick is my favourite place in the lakes. We had great weather and the garden was lovely with the summer house that is a real sun trap. Views from the Cottage are stunning."

"The cottage was part of a large former hotel and it has been converted very sympathetically. The rooms are large, clean, and comfortable - we had a lot of space for the two of us (and the dog!) One of my favourite things was the picture window in the lounge, with beautiful views across the countryside down to the lake. The beds were very comfortable and the area was quiet. We did have a couple of issues with the boiler going off and the kettle not working but these were dealt with quickly....

Excellent walks nearby and fabulous places to eat. Would recommend Chinty’s for breakfast/ brunch followed by a walk to Castle Head for an amazing view."
