"The property had a beautiful country setting. It reminded me of an old farmhouse. The outside entertainment area was great. Unfortunately we weren’t able to enjoy it due to the mosquitoes. The property owner supplied us with citronella candles but the bugs won! There isn’t any air conditioning including the bedrooms. It was quite war despite the ceiling fans and we couldn’t leave the windows open because of the bugs. It was a nice retreat after being in the busy city of Bologna."

"We (a family of six) have just spent a week at Via Montescudo, 126 and had a fabulous time. The house is great, plenty of room and charming throughout. The jewel in the crown is the swimming pool, of course - we spent many a happy hour in the water, on the sunbeds and chilling in the cabin. Then there is the town of Rimini itself, which was a revelation to us: wonderful beaches, restaurants, bars, shops, buildings, streets - it has it all. We found the simplest way to get to it from number 126...

"We had a week-long family gathering for Mom's 92nd birthday - with 4 generations present. Clean and spacious, the villa accommodated all of us comfortably. The warm September weather allowed us to enjoy the pool, as well as the sauna. While a bit far from Rimini center, proximity to a couple nearby villages provided many local restaurant choices. And finally, Luca was quick and very attentive to our needs and questions."

"The views from this property are absolutely breathtaking! While the property is not near any major sights, it is peaceful and beautiful. Fernanda was very responsive to my questions and her husband assisted us in guiding us around the area to point out places to eat and shop with. The pool was enjoyed by the family and we also also had a fabulous dinner grilling outside on the property. The pictures shown on this sight are accurate."

Nestled in old world Italy, surrounded by quaint countryside towns, we found the area to be iconically surreal. Although our trip was marred with climactic tragedy, the one bright spot of our travel through the Emilia Romagna was staying in the beautiful hilltop villa of Le Orchidee. There are a lot of personal photos throughout which means you very much feel that you are in someone else's home. "We were looking for a way to unwind after experiencing the cities of Rome and Florence - this place was perfect. We were able to go into Bologna and enjoy all that the city has to offer and then relax poolside in the afternoon when it was hot. Pamela and Gabriel were wonderful - they had lots of great recommendations and were very accommodating. Great experience all around.
