"Beautiful place—comfortable, cozy, and very clean! The location was perfect, with so many beautiful places to visit nearby, including Woodland Valley Campground. We really enjoyed spending a few hours exploring Woodstock, which was only about a 20-minute drive from our cabin in Phoenicia. We also had a delicious breakfast at Phoenicia Diner and enjoyed great food and drinks at Woodstock Brewing in Phoenicia. The Rail Explorers experience was absolutely amazing and conveniently located very close to the cabin. We loved our stay and exploring all the beautiful places surrounding the area. It was the perfect getaway, with a wonderful connection to nature. We would definitely stay here again!"

"The Emerson is a great resort/spa. Our room was just beautiful, clean , and comfortable. However, you will need to plan your stay well before you arrive since spa treatments book up quickly. My stay was spur of the moment so there was no availability, not even for a pedicure. Also be advised that there is no cell service (didn’t matter to me) but there is WiFi. I was aware that the restaurant was closed on the days of my stay so I can’t comment on the food. Even though this is a nice place, I don’t think I’ll be staying here again."

"We loved that it was an old house with character. We enjoyed listening to the record collection which was very unique to have in a rental. It was great that it was close to town and had a great meal at Brios Pizzaria and Restaurant!"

"Quiet secluded location yet 5-10 min drive to Phoenicia. Great to set the bird feeder out and watch all the various songbirds visit.Has all the amenities, features and space you’d want, albeit some of the decor/fixtures is worn/dated. Think older ski lodge chic! Gravel entrance driveway can be a little tricky after a rainstorm (some erosion / channeling where the drive leaves the pavement)Owner/manager is super responsive.All in all, would recommend and we enjoyed our stay a lot."

"House was beautiful! Property and town were just as described! Communication was great to begin with but a little lacking while there. We had an issue with the dishwasher Sat morn and they didn't reply till Sun, too late to not have to hand wash 7 people's meals. So that was frustrating... Who wants to spend vacation doing dishes when apparently the fix was a switch we didn't see under the sink, but everything else was great."
