1. Tuscan Farmhouse with Private Pool & Chianti Vineyard Views - 3 Bedr + AC

Montespertoli

"We found sanctuary at this lovely farmhouse during the July heat wave--refreshing dip in the pool, relaxing dinner in the courtyard, restful sleep in the air-conditioned home. Got up to watch the sunrise over the vineyards, absolutely stunning scenery, and watched three hot air balloons also taking in the sights. Matteo was very welcoming, and we bridged the language barrier with a little help from Google translate. Wished we could have stayed longer!"

"This september we visited Empoli. We wanted to stay close to Pisa and Florence, but not in a busy area. This place had exactly what we expected. A perfect view over the winefields with a beautiful sunset. The place could have been more clean. The road to the place is quite bumpy. We were lucky to rent a decent car. Mario, our host, was a very friendly man. He picked us up at the bottom of the hill so we could find the way up when it was dark. With a bit of english and talking with our hands we...

"We had the best time. The view is spectacular. The rooms are spacious very secure property. The property was clean and well appointed. We had a special request during our stay of a chef to cook us a real Italian meal. Our host Elena took the challenge on herself with the help of her family. The meal she cooked was the highlight of our entire vacation. She was a great host to deal with and we’d love to go back there again."

"This is truly a unique and special property providing incredible value . One of the most beautiful views in a spectacular setting hidden away in the Tuscan hills above Panzano. A perfect location for day trips to vinyards, restaurants and the Chianti area. Our apartment was extremely well appointed and beautifully decorated. Top Empolese Val d'Elsa Hotel Reviews

Il Defizio

10/10 Excellent

"This was the most beautiful, peaceful place. Such a dream to stay here. The staff were all lovely and the breakfast was perfect. Lots of options from fresh fruit to yogurt to croissants to eggs and delicious cheese and meats. View was gorgeous. We also had their dinner there one night and it was excellent food and such a lovely atmosphere. It was hard to leave and I would return in a heartbeat."

Colle Alberti Country House

10/10 Excellent

"We loved the feel of the place...light and contemporary decor. Stunning views and lovely pool to lounge by. Fantastic location and we visited Vinci and San Miniato (lovely restaurants) really close by. Of course went to San Gimignano and visited Lucca which we loved! Hotel highlights...breakfast and pool. The dining room is beautiful and I would have quite liked to have part of it as a lounge to grab an evening drink and relax whilst enjoying to view. Light lunches available in the daytime and self serve snacks/drinks. Also an honesty wine bar...super idea. We'd love to come back!"

Hotel I'Fiorino

10/10 Excellent

"The hotel is nice, clean, and located in a quiet area. The price was very reasonable, and there is also car parking available at the hotel. It’s in a great location between Florence and Pisa, so we stayed there as a halfway point during our trip. The owner, Elena, and her brother are very nice and welcoming. They even helped us with a late-night check-in after 10 PM, which we really appreciated. Note for future guests: Regular check-in is between 2 PM and 8 PM. If you expect to arrive after 8 PM, please contact the hotel in advance and provide your booking details. They can leave your room key/card outside the hotel and give you the access code over the phone. When you arrive, you can simply take the card, enter your room, and pay the next morning before leaving. If you are traveling to Italy from another country, it’s always a good idea to carry your passport with you when checking into hotels. In our case, the hotel accepted our Canadian ID and did not ask us for our passports, but I would still recommend carrying your passport while traveling. Overall, we had a very pleasant and amazing stay. Thank you, Elena, and your brother, for all your help and hospitality. We really appreciate everything you did for us!"

Tenuta Castellare di Tonda

8/10 Good

"We thought they would be serving dinner every night but there was no chef! So no Dinner service. Good A/C. Breakfast buffet was great, bartender made sandwiches and salads at lunch time. Be prepared to drive windy dark roads at night to find restaurants, 10-20 minutes away. Also we were charged additional fees for early checkin and late checkout, I found this to be excessive. We found their local white wine is not very good (buttery, and perfumy)"
