"Hotel Pendini was in a perfect, central location- just a few minutes' walk to all the major sights. We loved that our reservation included a continental breakfast spread (the pistachio croissants were incredible), and coffee and tea, with espresso beverages made to order. The breakfast staff was friendly and happy to refill our water bottle (with water and ice) each morning for the day's adventures. We didn't realize there was a drink fridge near the check-in desk until we checked out. It would have been helpful to hear this at check-in. Our room was spacious by European standards. The family suite was already booked, so we opted for the Quad room, which had comfy beds for each of our teens and one for my husband and me. Our room overlooked Piazza della Repubblica, which offered lovely views. However, one of the cafes played LOUD music every night of our stay, which we could hear through the walls and windows as we tried to fall asleep. This went on until at least midnight daily. I probably should have inquired about another room, but the music isn't the hotel's fault. Plan on playing some ambient sounds from your phone, if possible. The shower was a bit tricky to get the hot water to flow, but once we found the right setting, it was great. Excellent water pressure as well! The lobby is on the 4th floor, as the building shares space with other businesses. Use the ground-level elevator instead of walking up the few steps to the elevator on your left when you arrive."

"Superb service and friendly staff. Breakfast was well tended. Large rooms, beds, A/C, luxury bathroom. Front desk anticipates needs. Housekeeping was attentive and without asking helped me open my room door. As a solo traveller i was treated very well with respect and attention. Easy walk from main train station. Easy walk to the main sites. I didnt figure out the buses but it wasnt needed. On a hot day of shopping near a square i found a very nice taxi driver for an affordable lift back to the hotel. Even though a short drive/fare. Florence was by far the friendliest city in Italy. Not to mention good food. Recommend your stayat Hotel Albani."

"Clean, large room. The mirrors are only in the toilet area. Preferably an additional mirror in the sleeping area too. Excellent breakfast included. Very courteous staff."

"The room was amazing and the staff very helpful. Only one person apparently having a bad day didn’t seem to want to help or answer my questions. I went to The front desk and they answered all my questions immediately. Thank you for a wonderful relaxing stay"
