However we felt the picture on the website showing La Fornace del Borgo all lit up was misleading as the restaurant complex was empty and shut down waiting for a buyer. "The apartment was well renovated and comfortable. It was a convenient location for sightseeing in the region, as Florence, Siena, San Gimignano and Chianti are all easily accessible. However, my husband and I were disappointed to find that there were many apartments on the farm, not just three, with another part of the property divided by a low wall. Nicely appointed apartment within the town very close to the best little restaurants and architectural features of San Gimignano. After a day of strolling around it was very relaxing to get back to and quiet in spite of being right in the middle of everything. "The photos don't capture the incredible 360 degree views. The complimentary tour with wine and olive tasting was exceptional. The apartment is rustic, as pictured, but could use a deep cleaning.The 500 cypress tree lined road winding up to the property only adds to the adventure.
