So peaceful! The room was so airy and comfortable, we loved relaxing on the hammock and the delicious breakfasts. Would highly recommend for a relaxing retreat!

Nice spot, good value vs. hotel chains

Was very nice. Didn’t spend much time there apart from sleeping but everything was very comfortable and well appointed. The included breakfast is a very nice touch.

Beautiful stay

I stayed in the Earth room, and it was wonderful. Loved the large bathtub, bed and pillows were comfortable. The breakfast daily was phenomenal. Anke, the hostess was extremely hospitable, and helpful. Check-in and out was very easy. I would stay again, and recommend this hotel.

Great place to stay.

The place is small, as there are just 4 rooms, but it’s extremely nice and a great place to stay. The room is well appointed, clean and completely up-to-date and the staff is extremely nice and very helpful. They don’t really have room service but they do bring an excellent, healthy breakfast of your choice every day. There’s also a great gathering place on the upstairs deck with a fire pit and a fully appointed outdoor kitchen. Everything is geared towards a healthy and sustainable lifestyle.

A beautiful place to relax and regenerate.

Twelve Senses is a true hidden gem. The attention to detail is amazing, from the complimentary Prosecco and home made cookies to the sustainable room elements and boutique design touches. The roof deck is lovely and fantastic breakfast is a wonderful addition to the stay. Best of all is the friendly owner Anke and her friend Meaghan who felt like long lost friends despite meeting them for the first time. All in all an awesome retreat to relax and recharge.

I stayed in the Fire room at Twelve Senses Retreat for two nights with my husband and 8 year old child. We had a very lovely, comfortable stay. The room was very clean, and we loved the daily organic breakfasts and hot beverages served in the morning. The room is a great value for the luxurious amenities and delicious breakfast that is included. Our room had a cozy gas fireplace, and a private patio. I highly recommend this luxurious bed and breakfast when visiting the picturesque, coastal town of Encinitas. The host was very accommodating to our daughter, and I really appreciated the attentiveness to making our stay extra comfortable.

Stayed for three days to scuba dive and golf in the area. Also went to the local casino to play some poker. Great dining options nearby. The property itself had all the amenities I was needing. The owner was available at any time that I texted her with questions. It really felt like a hotel atmosphere but in an airbnb setting. Housekeeping and accommodations but private and comfortable. Rooftop area to sit and relax by a fire pit if desired. Breakfast menu made to order was delicious. On site free EV charging was a huge plus for my electric vehicle. Would definitely recommend and plan on staying again in the future.

My boyfriend and I are locals, but decided to escape the city for a quick coastal staycation, and we're so glad we discovered Twelve Senses. This place is truly a hidden gem. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a thoughtful welcome: an assortment of cheese, fruit, and nuts, along with a personalized card that made us feel instantly at home. In the morning, we received beautifully curated breakfast baskets. We both ordered the avocado toast, which was hands-down the best we've ever had. The coffee? Absolutely out of this world. Every detail at Twelve Senses was thoughtfully considered. The room was spotless, beautifully designed, and well-appointed with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The staff was incredibly friendly and responsive, making the experience even more seamless. We didn’t get a chance to enjoy all the amenities this time, but we’re already planning our return trip. Can’t recommend it enough.

Great little B&B retreat where the owner’s creativity and personal touch make all the difference. We were in the earth room and would love to explore the water and air rooms during other trips.

The owner was very amenable and it was very comfortable. They charged me $60 a Night for my 10 year old terrier with no teeth who sleeps all day. I thought that was a little unreasonable.

Comfortable room and patio that faces the parking lot; with a nice free breakfast. Fire room is next to main entrance which made it impossible to sleep in- you hear everyone who comes in and out. Entry is a bit confusing because there is no lobby or welcoming instructions. Nice roof deck for shared use.
