It's hard to beat a day on the water, and on Florida's Gulf Coast, there's nothing quite like Old Englewood, where you can enjoy some of the best activities in the sun and sand. Discover shells and shark teeth in the sand, participate in water sports, or take a stroll down historic Dearborn Street! The vacation of your dreams is awaiting you in Old Englewood, a slow-paced community that is pristine and unknown, with plenty of activities, old charm, and fresh salty air to go around. With the 245-acre Stump Pass Beach State Park a short distance away, you’ll also have access to beautifully pristine beaches on Lemon Bay and the Gulf Coast, with legendary Englewood Beach being right there on the way. And don't forget to catch a breathtaking sunset, the highlight of the Gulf Coast of Florida - make sure to plan your evenings around it! Take a moment to appreciate the beauty of the orange sky and have leisurely conversations with your loved ones. Conveniently located south of Sarasota and Venice, we’re a great destination between Tampa and Fort Myers. If you're flying in, consider Sarasota (SRQ, 40-minute drive) or Fort Myers (RSW, 60-minute drive) as your nearest larger airports. However, Boca Grande, Tampa and Orlando are also options, with Tampa being a 90-minute drive and Orlando a 2.5-hour drive; close enough to squeeze in a day at Disney if you'd like! Our home is located right off the Intracoastal Waterway, so if you bring a boat, all of the Florida gulf coast, including the calmer Lemon Bay, is at your disposal for fun, fishing, and relaxing Florida sun fun.

Peaceful getaway, perfect location. Close enough to the beach, & vibrant downtown of Dearborn Street. The home sits on the intercostal of Lemon Bay. Perfect all the way around. Looking forward to future visits.

Quite literally the best vacation stay ever

From the initial view as I arrived, to my final parting wave, this property was amazing, and the hosts were very responsive but never overwhelming. A huge worry at some of the properties I've stayed at. The color of this house is simply stunning, and made me positive when I arrived that this was my new favorite spot! I found everything I needed in the house, well-organized and in great condition. Spacious, super clean, and very modern, it's like being in my own home. I was able to view a beautiful sunset the evening I arrived, while eating a super peaceful dinner on the patio. I didn't bring a boat this trip, but a friend came to visit via the canal and was able to tie up and hang out without issue. Already scheduling my summertime visit when I'll bring mine. :) We took a casual stroll to historic Dearborn Street, to check thigs out and have a couple drinks. Woke up in the morning to a lovely view and the smell of salty air outside! What a wonderful, and sadly quick, visit. This place is now on my short list for where I'll return soon for a longer visit. Having owner/hosts that are local is also a nice feature. The emails I received indicated they weren't far away if needed.
