"Definitely older, but beautiful building, beautiful setting by the river in the trees. Great large room. Main complaint is the maze of hallways, had to go up a floor (with a lift) down a hallway then down another flight (no lift) when there was an outside door to the parking lot right by our room but "for emergency only". amenities cost extra, did not try them out."

"Lovely property about 30 minutes outside Sligo town. Great yard for the kids to run around in! The house was well equipped with everything we needed. Beautiful scenery and very close to the beach. Sheila was awesome! Very friendly and quick to reply to text messages if we had questions. We enjoyed our stay there and would recommend to anyone who wanted a quiet country setting to relax!"

"My husband, our son and his girlfriend, and our son's best friend went to Ireland to celebrate our son's 26 birthday. The Doonaltan House was a perfect location for a secluded home base. We had breakfast with the cows from the neighboring pasture and and had a lovely tree lined lane to walk to the beach. The house is just beautiful and has all of the conveniences you could want (except a clothes dryer, which we leaned that very few people in Europe have--surprising given the amount of rainy days compared to sunny Arizona!). The Doonaltan House's bright and cheery interior has superb views of the ocean and nearby mountains (along with our bovine friends!). We will definitely be going back!"
