"This was an extremely affordable place to suit our last-minute decision to stay in Koshigoe. The room was great, everything was pretty basic but for the price we paid it was more than enough. The owners were wonderful despite our very limited Japanese and even gifted us some postcards on departure! "Very nice hotel, reminded me of a Marriott Moxy Style hotel. Good bakery, small rooms, it was located right across from a beautiful park. The hotel was good, but it was a good 20 min walk to Shinjuku Station and shopping area."

"Beware of the hill leading up to the entrance from Shinagawa station - it's not like SF hill, but, if you have luggage, understand that there is a walk, which your map app will show you and that much of that is an incline. (I saw quite a few other tourists trudging up the hill huffing and puffing wondering where the entrance was. The hotel has a beautiful buffet breakfast (and 2 other restaurant choices) so opt into the Breakfast included option. The property is clean, the lobby is spacious and gorgeous, there is a very convenient 7/11 in B1, but the rooms are dated. I'd stay there again if the price was right, but I'm knocking a star for the rooms feeling dated and the hill. Hopefully, if you are aware of it, it won't be a problem."
