Raise your hand if you – like me – would never have guessed that this is… Greece! 🙋‍♀️ It was a steep but not too long hike up the mountains to get to Astraka refuge. We had great weather on the way up but it took a turn for the worse, so we dropped our stuff off in the refuge, had lunch, and waited. My legs were tired and I was so cold in the cabin so I really wasn’t feeling like getting out again to hike a bit more to get to Drakolimni/Dragon Lake but the skies cleared up again so I just couldn’t stay inside. And I was very happy I didn’t because the views were absolutely a m a z i n g. I mean I knew Greece is beautiful but I barely knew there are hikes to be done there, let alone with this kind of views. "The property (building/room status) was fine, but the location was far from town resulting to a daily walk of aprx. 5km (under heat and humidity) since finding parking at Parga has the same chances of winning the lottery. In five days one change of towels/ sheets and no additional provision of soap/shampoo is unacceptable for an accomodation of this rate. Also the pre-payment of guarantee i.e. 50% of the total amount against the terms of Expedia was very peculiar too. Finally potential issues...

My Suite

10/10 Excellent

"Had an absolute amazing time at My Suite in Anthousa. The area is a few miles outside of Parga and is a lovely little village with about 6 restaurants. My Suite is a small boutique hotel with a to-die-for view, of a valley of olive groves leading to the sea. The pool area is beautiful and very luxurious. While we were there, there were only a few people around the pool at any one time. We stayed in the corner room on the top floor, which had a large balcony. The view was spectacular. It was just a standard room, but had everything we needed, including a hidden kitchen area and the bed was super comfy. We had maid service everyday and the whole place was spotless. On our last day there were only us and another couple there, so we were shown the suites on the second floor. These were amazing and absolutely beautiful. Apparently the beds in these are even more comfortable. All the staff were super helpful and really friendly. Olympia on the front desk was a great help with recommendations, as was Christina on the later shift. The lady who ran the kitchen (I’m appalled that I can’t remember her name😬) was absolutely lovely. She always made sure you got what you wanted for breakfast. She also doubled up as a housekeeper, after her breakfast shift, so was super hard working. I would 100% recommend this hotel, if you’re after a more civilised, quieter holiday in a beautiful place. We explored the area by hiring a moped for a week. We had a fantastic time taking in the views. "
