"You simply pay for the views at this hotel. There are no frills outside of that (which was fine for my stay) the rooms had AC which was great. The staff was nice but it seems they were understaffed and simple requests took longer than other hotels I stayed at in Portugal. The buffet breakfast was convenient as there aren’t many food choices in the area to go to. I would go back simply because of the views and the relaxing property!"

"This is an unbelievable place. We have stayed in lots of different places across the world but you would do well to find a more relaxing, beautiful and unique place. The breakfasts were lovely, overlooking the valley. We loved the pool area too. The accomodation itself was spacious and had everything you needed. A special shout out to the staff too who make this such a special place. Definitely make sure you order a picnic too! Thank you for a great stay"

"We enjoyed staying in a historic place with a very beautiful view of the Douro River. Please note that the only way to get there is by car and the most convenient option is to take advantage of the dinner offered. It should be noted that there is an opportunity to taste very good local wine on site."

"Quel endroit incroyable au paysage à faire rêver. Nous avons tout aimé! Le personnel était accueillant et les lieux sont d’une très grande propreté. La piscine était aussi parfaite ainsi que le copieux déjeuner servi directement à notre chambre pour la prendre sur notre terrasse. J’y retournerais sans hésiter!"

"Superbe vue des chambres avec un balcon sur la vallée du Douro. Une bouteille de vin nous attendait dans un sceau à glace à notre arrivée dans la chambre. La piscine est également très appréciée."
