"This gem of a hotel on the waterfront of Syros' main town, Ermoupoli was a delight to stay in. If you want a Greek island in the Cyclades, which is virtually tourist free, Syros is the answer. The rooms were clean and well appointed and the staff service was superb. They responded cheerfully and helpfully to any request for assistance. The breakfast is freshly cooked from an a la carte menu that offers plenty of options. Cappuccinos and other coffees are provided at no extra cost and staff are very happy to provided multiple cups. All the staff were cheerful and friendly and happy to assist with everything. The hotel is adjacent to a large number of cafes, restaurants and bars which operate from early in the morning until late at night. "

"We loved our stay at 1844 Suites from the beginning where we got a great history lesson about Syros right to the end where we picked up our bags (but didn’t want to leave). Kostas was an amazing host and the woman who cleaned our room was the sweetest. The room was great and so comfortable. We really enjoyed the patio as well. If I could give this place an 11/10 I would! We would not hesitate to rebook in the future when we return. "

"Very solid option for staying in the Ermoupoli harbour. The view definitely includes the shipyard and stuff like that, and our room was a little tight for two people, but overall it’s a great value for a good location. Very nice service. "

"This is my second stay at Sea colors. This day was just as wonderful as my stay was last year. The view is incredible and really can’t be seen from anywhere else in the area of.Vaporia near the port. Dina, the woman who runs Sea colours is incredibly kind and and wonderful to experience her presence. this hotel is an older one and has a traditional feeling. This atmosphere is part of what I loved about it. It’s not modern but everything works. The people are wonderful. The view is incredible and I’ll gladly stay there third time if I’m able to."

"Really loved our stay at Hotel Omiros. It's a very charming heritage building with an amazing view of the harbour. The staff were all wonderful and very helpful. Pros: 1. Very close to town. A few steps and a pleasant walk. 2. Very charming building with really good interior decor. 3. Balcony was great and had an amazing view. Some cons: 1. The mattress needs to be replaced. It's very hard and not comfortable at all. Couldn't sleep well. 2. I understand it's an old building but for you to lock the door from the inside, you have to use a key. You also need a key to unlock it from the inside. If there is a fire, you won't be able to make it out quickly. I didn't feel safe knowing that. Overall, it was a pleasant stay. "

"Very nice and friendly hotel in a quiet part of the town. Close to restaurants, shopping and the ferry. The owner was helpful and friendly. A hotel we will come back to next time we visit Syros."
