"The location of Hotel Porta Fira is convenient if you are attending events at the Fira Barcelona venue, and the L9 Sud metro access is a plus for getting into the city. However, the overall experience left a lot to be desired.
The hotel has a noticeably gloomy atmosphere. The hallways are dark and lack any warmth or character, giving the property a dull, uninviting feel that follows you from the moment you check in.
Breakfast was overpriced for what was offered. The selection was limited and not worth the cost. To make matters worse, the coffee at the breakfast buffet was consistently cold every morning -- a frustrating and easily fixable issue that management should address immediately.
Housekeeping was inconsistent and tardy. The mini fridge was not restocked during our stay, and the coffee station in the room was left without proper supplies. Basic expectations for a hotel at this price point.
For anyone planning to visit, be aware that there are virtually no photos of the hotel exterior available online or on Google Maps, which makes identifying the building on arrival unnecessarily difficult. Combined with inaccurate GPS coordinates that direct you toward the nearby IKEA instead of the hotel, finding the place for the first time is more of an adventure than it should be. Use the address Pl. d'Europa, 45 and look for the tower building.
Not a terrible stay, but not a memorable one either. There are better options in Barcelona for the price."
