"This place was pretty basic, nothing outstanding. It served its needs. Coffee in the room sucked, the little machine is a joke, coffee ends up tasting watered down. What kind of hotel doesn't offer free coffee in the lobby? The staff doesn't communicate with one another if there is a change in the room status, we almost had to move rooms because of a miscommunication or lack there of in the change. Plus, the young lady was very rude about the situation until she realized she was wrong. My biggest complaint is the charge for the parking, what a joke!!! $28 a night for a lot they don't even monitor or even a space that might not even be available."

"We had an incredible time at the Pala Casino Resort and spa. From the moment we checked in, the staff made us feel completely at home. The room was immaculate."

"Generally WiFi is free with stay but at this hotel there would be a fee for using it. I did not use WiFi after knowing there would be a charge but was charged on my bill. Also the front desk person did not inform me when I checked in."

"The property was convenient but the room had a musty odor and needed updating. The idea of staying on a manmade lake with amenities was appealing however everything closed early. If you made plans for the day and wanted to paddle around the lake after dinner, there was no opportunity. The staff was friendly however they were not forthcoming with information unless you asked a lot of questions. "

"Checking it was extremely difficult. I was there with our wedding party - we had about 20 rooms total. Everyone had a very difficult time checking in. It looks us an hour. And then after the long wait they tried selling everyone a timeshare. Obviously very short staffed."

"The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Property is beautiful - right on the Bay - with tons of fun activities right on site. Food in the restaurant was delicious. The only concern was the loud music that was being played in the park next to the hotel until 9:45 p.m. on Sunday night. But that was it."

"Enjoyed the relaxing stay and the local neighborhood to walkable stores. We didn’t have to drive anywhere. Gated court yard that felt safe and the room had a kitchen which felt like a home."

" Check in very easy as well as check out. Shout out to Mike, who was very helpful and sweet even gave us options on what to do in San Diego. Absolutely love the breakfast good quality and complimentary. I am deducting points because you charge for parking and secondly, you’re adding tax to parking. Never have I been somewhere where they’re charging me tax on the parking! Note to the hotel offer free parking to your guests and if you’re going tocharge us, don’t add any more tax to that!!"
