"We've stayed in many self catering cottages and had a very different experience in this one. On VRBO the gite is advertised as having a lake view, its no where near a lake! After we'd paid for the gite the owner contacted us for €300 cash deposit, and told us about additional electricity charges per day. There was no mention of this on VRBO, so the owner waived the charge. We arrived at 4pm on a Sunday and immediately had to find a supermarket as no basics/welcome pack was provided e.g bread,...

"We had the most amazing fortnight at En Macary. Jean-Claude and Françoise were wonderful hosts going out their way to ensure our stay was as perfect as possible. The gite and garden were beyond expectation and the space was brilliant for letting our children roam freely."

"Very peaceful property, stylishly decorated and with a lovely large garden with many seating areas, hammocks and pool. The house was very well equipped and, as keen cooks, this was perfect as we could visit local markets during the day and then cook feasts in the evening. Esther was a very helpful host, giving good information about the local area and kindly supplying us with logs for the lovely fire in the living room"

"The cottage exceeded our expectations, there is everything you need for a very comfortable and relaxing stay whatever the weather. The inside space is large, airy and uncluttered, perfect for cooking, eating, relaxing and sleeping. Lovely bedrooms, superb bathrooms and a well equipped kitchen. "Nous avons passé un bon séjour dans cette location. Petit point ce pendant à améliorer ,des portes manteau dans la salle de bain seraient les bienvenus et la cour extérieur aurait mérité un bon coup de débroussaillage .Pas non plus de séchoir à linge portable dans la maison. Beaucoup de belles balades à faire au tour du gîte.Et merci à Carole pour son accueil."
