He was friendly, respectful, anticipated our needs and ensured we knew what was available to us. He ensured we were happy with our stay and time in the lounge. Don't think he could have been better! "The rooms in The Mercure Hotel are large and comfortable with a good bathroom, everything is very clean. If you stay at the Mercure Hotel, you Can easily walk to the town centre and the Main station, if you walk along the Huyssen Aller (runs parallel to Bismarckstraße). If you don’t want to walk very far for a metal, just cross the Folkswang Bridge (pedestrian) and turn right. There you Will find small local restaurants. Ofcourse you are very near to the Folkswang Museum, and that is a must!! Entrance is free of charge, you only pay for the special exhibition. Go to the UNESCO World Heritage, Zollverein, which is a former coal mine and factory. Just jump a tram at the main station. "
