"Pros: Kind, responsive property managers, close to beach and local food nearby. Cons: Roaches. I was beyond mortified to have had my leftovers in a to-go box in the refrigerator and upon opening to Re-heat a cockroach about 1 1/2 - 2 inches long scurried out!!! Everything we had, that we’d opened we threw out. Upon leaving the room, at about 3:45a we were packing and cleaning our dishes and saw again baby roaches rushing to hide into the walls which confirmed there are roaches in the unit....

"Mariposa Villa was very clean, all systems and appliances were working well, and the property manager attended to our needs very responsively. Our stay was restful and restaurants nearby were fantastic. We thoroughly enjoyed the swimming pool, hot tub and wildlife -- capuchin monkeys, iguana, birds, etc. Thank you to the host and staff for a relaxing respite!"

"I stayed here three nights with my family. The grounds are beautiful, the waterslide and zip line were so fun. The pool and everything outside was super amazing. We were close to many activities as well. There were enough beds for us all, six of us total. There is a kitchen and two bathrooms. Only thing to keep in mind is that there is no actual living room and no TV, which we didn't mind but didn't know really in advance. There is also a ping pong table outside which my family loved. "Communication with the owners was awesome. He was very kind and helpful and helped us set up great tours. The outside area of the house is very nice. Pool is spotless. The chef cooked us a delicious dinner. The listing accuracy was a real bummer. We felt trapped at the top of a mountain because it took so long to get down and into a decent town. What bothered me the most was the incessant ants in the master bedroom and the lizard poop everywhere inside the house, mostly upstairs. "

"If you are a large family this is a great place. Great views from patio close to beaches, town and all the activities you want without a 3hr drive. Natalia was so easy to work with. We used her to book all our activities and she did not disappoint. They all where awesome and worth the money. Highly recommend the Chef service. Can’t say enough! Food was amazing and no cleaning for a fam of 17 worth every dime!"

"Although in a beautiful location, this home needs some work. Two of the guests felt so uncomfortable that they left for a hotel! Overall, most of us was ok, but some details such as pics of all the rooms on the listing and status of electronics should have been detailed accurately!"
