With its perfect location-walking distance to town and Stanley Village , stunning views, and modern amenities, this family-friendly home is sure to exceed your expectations. Book now as this is a local favorite! Welcome to Camelot!... In Arthurian History, known as the place where King Arthur held his meetings of the Knights of the Round Table. The term is also defined as “ a glittering place of romance and optimism”. The house was built in 1938, and was purchased by our parents 35 years ago. They had a wonderful 64 year marriage with a strong foundation of optimism and romance! We grew up visiting Estes Park for the past 60 years. We have always loved the majesty of Longs Peak and Mount Meeker and the haunting sound of the elk bugling across the valley. We have the fantastic opportunity to observe many kinds of wildlife pass through, graze and rest on the property. The house has provided a wonderful space for our family to celebrate holidays and come for a respite from our busy lives. We fondly call it the Napping House. Over the past year we have done an extensive refresh utilizing both generations of family memorabilia as well new fixtures, furniture and bathrooms. We are now sharing our home with other families. We hope that you will find that it is a place to make life time memories and enjoy the majesty of the Rocky Mountains and the charm of Estes Park.
The great room is a perfect spot to gather with loved ones, offering a wood-burning fireplace and ample seating. Additionally, there is a prime viewing area in front of a picturesque window. The dining area is spacious and can seat up to nine people, while the custom kitchen is modern, well-equipped, and features skylights, a gas stove, and an eat-in island. The first floor has a king bedroom next to a remodeled full bathroom. Additionally, there is a second living area that is perfect for family gatherings, featuring a sectional sofa, flatscreen TV, full-size billiards table, and gaming table for puzzles and games. There is also a large laundry and an additional full bathroom on this level. Outside, guests can enjoy the large patio and barbeque grill while taking in the views of Long`s Peak or gazing at the stars. Estes Park is renowned for its dark sky community, so stargazers will not be disappointed! There are also various outdoor activities to enjoy, such as horseshoes, cornhole, croquet, or simply relaxing on the swing. Upstairs, there is a king bedroom, a queen bedroom, and a kid`s room with three twin beds. All of these rooms offer spectacular views. There are two full bathrooms on the first floor and a bathroom with a shower on the second floor. Book your stay today and experience the beauty of Rocky Mountain National Park like never before!
Built in the Stanley Heights neighborhood with a stone foundation and fireplace and one foot thick walls, this historic two story, 4000 square foot nearly a century old home is one of a kind. The living room, and dining area ( the table seats 10) as well as all bedrooms feature fantastic views of Longs Peak and the Estes Park Valley. The kitchen and bath rooms are remodeled featuring stone counters and cherry cabinetry. Hand hewn pine furniture throughout provides a rustic ambience when combined with comfortable sectionals and fun art.
The large game room, with big screen TV also has a vintage restored pool table. We take pride in providing fun activities for your stay that include multiple board games for every age, toys for children inside and a fun swing for them outside, as well as horseshoes and croquet for adults.
The peacefulness of the setting is amazingly less than a mile walk to town and the Stanley Shopping Village. You can also access hiking trails from the neighborhood. Whether you are looking for a summer escape to Rocky Mountain National Park and the Estes Valley that is filled with entertainment, a retreat to the cool fall mornings, colorful aspens, and bugling Elk in the fall, or a family gathering spot for Thanksgiving or Christmas( we decorate our home for the holiday season), we would love to share our home with you! Here are just a few of the reviews captured in our guest book over the past several years….
August 2023 We had a fabulous time here in Estes Park with our adult children. We loved the visits to this yard from the Elk, Mule Deer, many birds and Chipmunks. The house was perfect and well stocked. We love the game room and spectacular views! Wish we could stay a month!
July 2023 Thanks for the memorable vacation! We all enjoy this area and the proximity to the precious town of Estes Park. We attended the Rooftop Rodeo and saw the BEST PARADE with Horses, Queens, Music and Friendly Folks. The view out the windows was fabulous…loved the furnishings and decorations…the kids liked the game room…We enjoyed watching the Elk, This is a wonderful Camelot in a magical forest that fosters wonderment and togetherness….
July 2022 Camelot was magical for our family. We had both our daughters and spouses and kids from 1-12. They about wore us out on the swing…it was wonderful for them. The views from every room- WOW! So comfortable- remodeled in the right spots but still rustic cabin look. Thank you for the sharing of your family home- much love felt here.

We were so happy to stay here while on vacation in Estes! Close to downtown, easy to to get to Rocky Mountain National Park, big kitchen, clean, great space, and beautiful views right from your windows.
Very comfortable, excellent home with all needed for a great stay. The owners thought of everything! Great location. Wonderful for the entire family! Will stay again!
We enjoyed our stay. The house is well appointed, with stunning views and a great location. We enjoyed evening walks in the neighborhood and short drives to the Rocky Mountain national park.
The pool table was well used, kitchen very well equipped, bedrooms and baths very nice, and quiet. Saw deer, bunnies, birds, and chipmunks . Had a BBQ , and played games.
We came together from three states, NE, WY, and CA, to celebrate my sister. The house was amazing! Great views out of each window. Lots of spaces to gather or to find a quiet corner. The large dining area was a good gathering spot, not just for meals. The family room with pool table, large sofa, and card table was a fun place to gather and relax. The toys in the cupboards were a great treat for our youngest family member. The bedrooms are nicely spaced, with a little more privacy in the downstairs room. We liked that the bathrooms were not attached to any bedrooms so they could be fully shared without walking through someone else's bedroom. The house is a quick and convenient drive to town, the store, or to RMNP. Stargazing on the porch was wonderful. We saw an elk herd on our final morning as we were leaving.
We LOVED staying in Estes Park at Camelot! Plenty of room for our three teenagers and our 10 year old. Super close to everything we wanted to do. Took the hike to Gem Lake from the Lumpy Ridge trailhead which is just minutes away. Great views! Saw elk on the property daily. Very cool. We enjoyed relaxing in the evenings in the large family room.
Couple of things…
1. Apple Maps will constantly try to route you through private property to get to the main road to the north. Not sure why…but don’t take the bait. There is a no trespassing sign clearly posted.
2. The house is secluded and private but window coverings on the bathrooms would still be appreciated for a greater sense of privacy. Just a simple suggestion.
3. We also got really hot at night. Felt like the heat was on despite turning every thermostat to OFF. Had to open the windows to keep cool. No big deal but it was a thing.
Otherwise this is a true gem. Book your stay right now!
It's unusual to find a rental with this much character. You feel it the minute you step inside this lovingly maintained historic home with gorgeous stone fireplace and soaring ceilings.(Fire was laid for us, when we arrived!) Warm wood panelled walls with enormous picture windows and views in every direction. (Site photos are accurate) We loved taking morning coffee in sun-flooded DR,watching little birds and wildlife skitter around outside. From lovely stone patio we could contemplate Longs Peak (any hour).House feels secluded (great star-gazing!) but you're minutes from town, and RMNP park entrance (walk-in trails, too!) Easy to spend time in the house itself, so comfortable - large airy bedrooms with good mattresses & closets. Two full baths with double sinks.Tiny 3rd bath, corner shower- 6'2" son bumped his head but that's a minor quibble -- house itself is HUGE. Game room with pool table was a bonus! Large bright kitchen, thoughtfully equipped -- not just plates & mugs, but crystal wine glasses, plenty of pots&pans, (good quality), every kind of kitchen utensil.New appliances (including large refrigerator and full size washer/dryer). Well stocked cleaning supply closet. You don't need to bring a thing. We visited in the Fall, when evening temperatures plunge -- we had to turn down the thermostat because heat circulated so well. We loved Beth's Camelot! Hope to return next year.
The house was perfect for us! Plenty of space to spread out. Everything you would need, very clean and the views were spectacular! We didn’t want to leave! Thank you for sharing your home! Would definitely rate a 10 or higher if I could!!
This will be our go-to home every time we come out to Estes from now on. We fell in love with the property and the home immediately! We didnt hear the words "we're bored" once out of our 4 children the entire time. They enjoyed exploring the property finding cool rocks, spotting wildlife, and even finding some bones! Inside the home the game room was filled with every board game you can think of and a very nice pool table. The location was perfect, everything was about 2-7 minutes away. Very comfortable, management was a delight to work with, views were unmatched, and you can tell they take pride in the whole property!
My husband and I stayed here with our young family (6, 3 and 18 months) and my parents on our first time taking the kids to the mountains. We have been to the area many times and couldn’t wait to have our kids experience it! The house was fantastic, clean and comfortable. We saw elk in the yard almost daily, even had a mama elk walk by with her two babies while we were eating lunch on the patio one day. One evening 20-30 walked through the yard at dusk. The windows also have incredible Mountain Views. The communication was fantastic, especially when we had a hiccup at check in (my fault, not theirs) and our son was sick, they got us in within minutes of reaching out. They were also very prompt with responses during the trip to some small questions I had. The kitchen was great, well equipped- we cooked almost every breakfast and dinner at the house. The rooms were all comfortable and had nice fans in them. It did get up into the mid-80s in Estes a couple of days and the upstairs was about 76 degrees. So a tad warm for my liking but still reasonable. We will certainly consider returning to this great location! It’s super quiet, but minutes from town! So grateful that we chose this spot - lots of special memories with our family!
