Feudi Mandolivo

"The Feudi Mandolivo estate is lovely and run by the helpful and friendly Gino. If there is availability and you have the budget, book one of the two trulli apts. The other apts are nice but quite quite standard. The check-in process could be improved. We pressed the buzzer at the entrance gates, and they opened but no-one spoke. It was confusing to find where to go once inside the gate and after sitting outside the breakfast area for a while, drove up the hill and sat there. Eventually a woman came out and told us we needed to await Gino’s arrival. In the end we spotted the key was in the apt door so we let ourselves in, changed into our costumes and went and found the pool. The room was fine, although we had asked for a separate bed for my adult son and they provided a rock solid futon which was very uncomfortable. The setting helped make up for the shortcomings. The pool is lovely, pool towels were provided and breakfast down the hill was in a lovely setting overlooking the trulli buildings. Gino was friendly and welcoming. He very kindly posted back our hotel keys to the previous location as we had accidentally come away with them. We were very grateful for this."

"An absolutely stunning property, with beautiful rooms and a great pool. The staff were very welcoming and kind. The only criticism I could find, and really there weren’t any, is the food menu is a little limited as there is no food available between 2.30pm and dinner service. This wouldn’t stop me staying there again though, it is otherwise perfect."

"A very nice Masseria. It is besutiful, well maintained and taken care of. I had two issues. One, being far from the nearest town, they have a restricted menu along the day, and dinner requires a reservation before 5 PM. Breakfast is very good. In general, service staff was not particularly nice, most look really annoyed to be there (with a few exceptions)- it might be a general “Puglian” attitude. The maids were extraordinary though- everything super clean/organized and really nice ladies. The other issue I had is that I had to leave one night earlier (The reservation was for 7 nights), and although I let them know at the beggining of my stay that I had this logistical inconvenience that required me to depart earlier, they were not willing to refund my last night. More so, they were particularly rude about it. I have had that experience before and hotels always allow earlier departures if forcefully necessary. Although it is a really nice location and property, I dont know if I eould go back."

"Beautiful property, very relaxing with a gorgeous pool. Everything went smoothly from booking to checkout. WiFi a bit difficult at times but that only encouraged us to put our phones away which was a bonus! Some of the track leading down to it is narrow and very uneven, just had to be very careful with our hire car. But the property at the end was worth it and I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting a lovely peaceful holiday. Thank you Nina!"

"Very nice modern house in a great location. Pictures accurately represented the property. Pool and patio were wonderful amenities. Kitchen is small but functional, with full size fridge and four burner gas range. House was clean and reasonably well maintained. Host was responsive and helpful. Check in gets four stars (only) because the on-line process was a little glitchy (not recognizing a passport and not reflecting payment of the tourist tax) but these were sorted out with the agent upon arrival with no issues. Overall, would recommend this property."

"Ein wunderschöner Platz für einen geruhsamen Urlaub.Der Trullo ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und sehr gut ausgestattet.Der Olivenhain und Garten ist weitläufig und sehr gepflegt.Francesco ist ein sehr zuvorkommender, freundlicher und umsichtiger Gastgeber.Trotz der Abgeschiedenheit, sind die umliegenden Ortschaften schnell erreichbar. Wir haben unsere Urlaubstage im Trullo Saettone sehr genossen und können ihn absolut empfehlen."
