Relax in peace along the Juniata River

Newly remodeled cabin on the Juniata River, surrounded by the sounds of nature. Enjoy the babbling river, fall asleep to the sound of crickets and wake up with the birds. Evenings are great for sitting around the fire and enjoying the dark sky with countless stars.
Fishing, canoeing, kayaking or just floating on tubes are some of the fun things to do while staying here. The best swimming spot on the river is also just steps away from your door.
The cabin has a kitchen with electric range, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and toaster. Dishes, utensils, pots and pans are provided. There are two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and one with a double bed. The sofa in the living room opens up as a double bed also. Sheets and towels are provided.
The cabin has a separate building that houses a shower. An outhouse provides the toilet facilities.
Mini-split provides heat and air conditioning.

Rest and Relaxation!

The hosts are very friendly and helpful. This cabin has everything you need and sits in a perfect location overlooking the river, very peaceful and relaxing environment. Perfect way to escape the big city for a long weekend!

Great Place to Relax

The Cabin is beautiful and very clean. Our stay was relaxing and it’s a great place to unwind as there is no TV or wifi service. We’ll definitely will be back.

Relaxing, Peaceful Get Away From It All !

This was our 2nd time staying here and it was just as wonderful as it was the year before. The cabin is exactly as pictured. Very clean and comfortable. The views are amazing and so peaceful. The hosts Marilyn & Charlie are extremely nice, feels like you have known them forever.

We loved our stay!

We had a beautiful stay at this lovely and clean little cabin on the Juniata River. The leaves were changing, so we had beautiful views and relaxing walks between cooking in the cute and well stocked kitchen, playing scrabble at the dining room table, and cozying up on the warm couch. Marilyn and Charlie were welcoming and helpful but also gave us plenty of space to enjoy our get away. We may well be back :)

What a perfect vacation

Coming from Oregon to get a taste of the east coast life and did it not disappoint. The cabin was absolutely perfect—everything we could have asked for a sisters getaway. Canoeing, reading, and ending the day at one the best built fire pit we’ve seen, it was a 10/10 vacation spot. And seeing fireflies for the first time made it all the sweeter. Thanks for having us!

The cabin is extremely clean with furniture that is uniquely made, creative, and tasteful. The owners are very attentive to your needs and go the extra mile for you, also facilitating the transportation for a several hour canoe trip on the river. Charlie and Marylyn are so accommodating, responsive, and helpful. Great experience.

Family Fairytale

As a Mom of both a preteen and toddler it can be difficult finding a vacation that suits everyone. But this was it! My family managed to disconnect from daily distractions and reconnect in all the most fun and exciting ways!! You know it was a good time when your almost teenage daughter not only enjoyed hanging out with you but requests a vacation to your destination again! There was plenty to keep entertained on this off the beaten path getaway! And is the perfect place to relax and enjoy!! Our hosts were warm and welcoming from the moment we got there! Helping ease the away from home jitters of our kiddos. And that kind of hospitality seems anymore to only exist it fairytales. We explored a cavern, went canoeing enjoyed bonfires and a dip in the river. Browsed gift shops and enjoyed the small town charm. Our vacation dreams were made reality!

We had such an amazing time during our stay here. We brought our son, and 3 of his friends, to celebrate his 14th birthday. They had a blast fishing and swimming in the river. The cabin is beautiful, comfortable, and we enjoyed the peaceful setting. The owners are very friendly and hospitable. We hope to visit again!

Super nice and relaxing!

We stayed at this place for 3 nights and it was awesome! The hosts Marilyn & Charlie are very nice and caring... they are the best! Our vacation was very relaxing and we enjoyed the quiet time with family sipping morning coffee in the balcony and doing barbecue by the firepit in the evening. Not having wifi or mobile internet was a blessing... our kids enjoyed board puzzles, reading books and watching birds after a very long time! The views are breathtaking and there are many fun activities nearby. The cabin is very clean, tastefully decorated and furnished with everything that guests may need. The outhouse and the outdoor shower room needed some getting used to for us city folks, but were comfortable and good. The hosts had kindly left water bottles for us in the refrigerator, since the well water from the kitchen faucet tastes weird. Overall, a 5-STAR experience for us and we would love to come back again for our next vacation - THANK YOU!

Fantastic, peaceful, private and fun getaway!

The cabin was comfortable & very clean! We enjoyed the quiet peaceful surroundings! The river was beautiful & clear! We had a great time swimming, floating, kayaking and fishing. The hosts Marilyn & Charlie were super friendly and helpful!!! They brought us further up the river with the kayaks and we kayaked back to the cabin. Charlie and his son taught my son how to fish and helped him catch about a dozen fish! We enjoyed warming up around the camp fire and roasting marshmallows! This getaway was just what we needed, plus! The only con was that we didn't book a longer stay.

Off the grid

We had such a nice getaway at the cabin. It was so peaceful and nice to truly be off the grid for awhile. Nice private road with the best hosts. The helped us with any needs and questions we had during our stay. Would definitely recommend!!

This cabin was perfect for our get away! The owners were so sweet and made sure we had everything we needed. Being right on the river we were able to kayak and fish throughout our entire stay it was perfect!
