"Easy to find near Dumfries and a nice break into Scotland at the start of our journey. Room was clean and comfortable, and we had the one nearest the ramp so didn't have to climb steps. Room was a bit dark, but easy to move around in, and had sufficient power outlets so we could charge our phones without a problem. Dinner was very good and the owner introduced me to a new ale that i hadn't tried before... great recommendation! We also found out he was the local postmaster, and let us confirm we had the correct postage-- so didn't have to wait 3 days for the post office to reopen! Very helpful! Breakfast was included and there were sufficient options so both of us got what we wanted. Tried Scottish 'tatties' for the first time, too. Lots of quiet country farms all around! Thank you!"

"Lovely comfy clean room, great traditional shutters to help with keeping light out for sleeping. Excellent shower with great pressure and easy temperature control. Plenty of parking for the size and an amazing breakfast which includes both cooked and continental options with juices tea and coffee."
