Great accommodations for a large group

We appreciated having 4 bedrooms with attached baths. The kitchen was well supplied (could have used a bit more silverware). The location is a bit out of the way, but works well to be away from the lights of downtown Fairbanks, as we had good Northern Lights Views from the property. Norm is a very nice and accommodating host.

Great house

The Knoll House was perfect for us, it is clean and well stocked. We had everything we needed. The views are beautiful, and the yard was nice for our little one to play.

Excellent stay

We were in Fairbanks for our daughter's wedding. The Knoll House was perfect for our group. It was a quiet refuge in the evenings for the group to unwind. We were able to stay together and still had the space for privacy. If we were to do this again, we would definitely stay at this property.

Cozy getaway with everything you need

Norman is a great host. His property offers amazing views and all of the extras you could want. Loved the antiques, toys for kids, and games. Close to the airport, sights, and main highway. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Great cabin

Great cabin for 2 families or one big family. The house had everything we needed and grocery stores were close. Norman was available by phone and just down the road. Loved that all bedrooms had their own bathrooms. Beds were comfortable. The wood burning fireplace was really warm and cozy.

Magical vacation

When we booked this home it checked all of the boxes of what we were looking for in a vacation rental. In real life it exceeded our expectations. The home is inviting and cozy. The amenities are excellent. The location is great. Felt very private but not far from the airport, restaurants, museums and town. Perfect for a family vacation. Norman was very responsive to my questions prior to our stay. He also checked in with us a few times during our stay. As an added bonus we were able to experience the Northern Lights from the yard instead of in a crowded setting. Thank you Norman!

The house was great! My only complaints were the kitchen faucet needs replacing. And the snow plowing could have allowed for a bit more parking. Other than that, it was a lovely place.

Possibly beautiful but needs upkeep. Master shower runs out into bathroom floor and faucet difficult to adjust to keep even a warm shower. Kitchen faucet sprayed all over. Kitchen had many removable food spills. No working cable for TV. Appreciated supplies left in laundry room and closet. Porch was beautiful but surrounding bushes needed major trimming. Needs extra outside trash can if 6+ guests stay more than 5-6 days. Despite the above, we truly enjoyed our stay at the Knoll House and the roominess Both inside and out.

The Aurora Did Not Disappoint

All seven of my family enjoyed being in Fairbanks and staying at the Knoll House. The house was warm, spacious, and comfortable since everyone had their own bedroom and bathroom. The kitchen was well stocked and I highly recommend you do an inventory before grocery shopping as there were lots of staples already there. We took an Aurora tour our first night and saw some briefly, but we actually saw the spectacular Northern Lights every night from this location. We just bundled up and walked outside. We read the Aurora forecast and found a FB group that posted when the Aurora was sighted to aid us with what time it was forecast in the FB area. The owner had told us to rent a 4x4 during the winter and we agree! This location is 10-15 minutes to the airport and downtown. So, was very convenient. My adult kids enjoyed snowmobiling, soaking in hot springs, lots of games, and sledding at the house. We all agreed that the location and layout of the house made doing anything in Fairbanks easier as well as staying at home to view the Aurora in our own yard! We would definitely stay here again. We rented rated outdoor gear and we felt it was worth the price for safety and warmth! Also, the WiFi worked well enough for texting, and email plus sending a few pictures at a time. Personally, I was happy to lay down my phone and take in the view.

The pictures do not do justice to the beautiful home and setting. The home was clean and well stocked. The beds were comfortable. We were a group of 8 and it was great to have space to spread out with individual bed and bath rooms. The house it a bit outside of Fairbanks but is an easy drive in. The host was very nice and stopped in twice to check to make sure we had everything we needed. I would not hesitate to stay at Knoll house again.

It felt as if we were far removed from everything, but it was only ten or fifteen minutes to the airport and grocery store. House was beautiful and comfortable. Beautiful view

Fairbanks long Weekend

Good property for our group of 7. Having pruvate bathrooms for each of the bedrooms was a huge plus. The location overlooking the valley was beautiful.

We had a great stay in Fairbanks. The house was as advertised. We were there for spring break. The northern lights were visible over the hill most nights, and the kids enjoyed the available sleds during the day.

Beautiful house and location

House had everything we needed. Beds were comfortable, view was amazing, fireplace was easy to use and wood plentiful. Decently outside of town but easy to get to with 4wd even in January. Views of the northern lights plus we had moose visitors! We'll be back.
