"Property was centrally located in the downtown area of Fairbanks, restaurants were walkable. Hotel was clean. AC didn’t work as well as we would have wanted but who would have thought you would need ac in Alaska. Didn’t realize the homeless population was that bad, but they did a good job of keeping them out of the hotel. "
"We stayed here for one night and was happy that there was adequate food available in the hotel store since all the restaurants nearby were closed when we arrived."

Fairbanks is one of the best places in the world to see the Aurora or the Midnight Sun.The University of Alaska has an excellent museum, an animal research station offering tours, and a viewpoint over the Alaska Range. It has good Thai restaurants!

We came in October in hopes to see the Northern lights. Unfortunately it was too cloudy so that didn't happen. We drove around a lot to find things to do to but many things are seasonal and closed already. I'd like to come back and try again.

Nice city. Recommend the Golden Heart Plaza, Ice Museum, Morris Thompson Visitor Center, Beads and Things, Arctic Traveler Gift Shop, and highly recommend Arctic Night Tours for an even closer and amazing view of the Aurora Borealis.

Spend some time wandering, Fairbanks has so many hidden gems that you won't find with a guidebook. And try East Ramp Pizza, it looks dubious from the outside, but it's great!

Visitors must go to the Museum of the North at the University of Alaska. It was amazing and varied. Also go to the Fountainhead Antique Auto Museum. The fashions current at the time the automobiles were made, were displayed by the cars. Really fun an

We love the fact everything is covered by snow. We loved our dog sledding tour and Aurora light viewing too! A great place for vacation! Will come back in a different season just for the beautiful nature.

We wished we'd spent more time in Fairbanks and less in Anchorage which felt less welcoming. We took the train back to Anchorage rather than fly: 100% recommended. Chena was a good day visit but not huge and a bit tired due to visitor numbers.

"Great welcoming staff. The shower was really small. Which is only a big deal if you like a roomy shower. Apparently also the rooms upstairs had a normal size shower so just fyi. The rest of the property and room were great. "
