"Stayed one night for a special occasion. Arrived to an empty reception and waited to be let in by the staff who says he's living there. Room was tired and needed a deep clean — springy noisy bed, dust, cobwebs and spiders. Worst part: a huge dog barking and running around directly above us all night and from 7am, which cost us our sleep and our breakfast. "Claverton staff, food, room and gardens all excellent. The functions on 2 nights in function room and beer garden below our room was noisy and therefore took edge off stay hence the 4 stars and would not return in the future."

Staff were friendly and helpful the breakfast was excellent with a large choice of items from continental and cooked food avaliiable plus hot drinks or juices.Our room was clean and comfortable perfect for our long weekend stay. I would highly recommend this Hotel."

"Lovely hotel great good in the restaurant. Had to wait ages for our dessert I think they forgot. Nothing around nearest pub is a good 20 minute walk away. Nice gardens to sit in and have a drink at the hotel. Dog friendly too"
