We spent one month traveling all around France with excellent accommodations at nearly every stop but this place was the best. Wonderful setting, comfortable room, excellent breakfasts, a special dinner, and two gracious hosts. We highly recommend it.

Well located, nice big room, modern bathroom, has a bar which is pleasant. Hotel is very quiet and has lots of parking. Breakfast has lots of variety and is very tasty. I would stay here again.

Marianne was an attentive host. Check-in was easy, parking was on site, the rooms in the family unit were comfortable. The house is impeccably maintained, inside and out, with lonely sitting areas outside and a cute little town to stroll around. We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend!

Nous avons passé un excellent moment en compagnie de Lola et de Claude . En leur compagnie nous avons fait une visite très intéressante et très instructive de l'histoire du château et de la région. Notre chambre et la salle de bain étaient très spacieuses et confortables et avaient pour théme Sarah Bernhardt. Au matin une jolie promenade dans le parc très appréciée par notre chienne. Excellent petit déjeuner. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir.

There are B&Bs you stay in that feel very corporate and then there are places like this one. It is family owned and operated, and the owners make you feel like family while you are there. They and their two daughters were happy to show you the property they renovated during Covid and worked so hard to turn into a beautiful little part of France. The location is convenient to Carcassonne and there are dining options there. This is located in the country so you'll need to travel into the city...

Iris and BJ were wonderful hosts. In advance of our visit we communicated about our diet (vegan family) and they were able to provide us a nice breakfast every morning. We visited the area during warm weather and the swimming pool ended up being a refreshing part of our stay during the late afternoon hours.

We stayed at Le Grand Bassin Guesthouse for one night before picking up our Le Boat for a 10-day cruise east. I can say without hesitation that we had a perfect stay! We arrived on Castelnaudry by train, and then walked to the guesthouse, so of course we were behind schedule. Sophie waited patiently for us and, on our arrival, called Chez David in town to make sure we would get a table for dinner. Sophie is an exceptional host, and our room was clean and comfortable. We did not have breakfast...

Staff was great and breakfast was daily made a freshly prepared.parking was also a plus.
