"2 families stayed whilst visiting Alton Towers. We couldn’t have stayed any closer, The Old Barn literally on the doorstep. The property have a very homely feel which made relaxing easy. There was plenty of room for the 12 of us. We could even all sit together around the large table in the kitchen to eat together. Beds were very comfortable and the location was quiet. "Excellent communication from host & easy check in with key lock. Room was spacious & comfortable for our family of 4. The only negative was that we hadn’t realised that bathroom would be downstairs, which resulted in the kids being a bit anxious about going on their own, as it’s a shared house and they weren’t comfortable wandering around the house on their own with strangers. Not a problem for the adults, but the kids weren’t comfortable. "

The Dog and Partridge Country Inn

Ashbourne

10/10 Excellent

Great stay in a very friendly country inn. All the staff were super friendly and helpful, the Guinness was great, the bed was really comfortable and I look forward to coming back. One note if you’re an American like me— don’t just ask Siri to get directions to the Dog & Partridge because apparently there’s a pub with that name in every village, lol. When I finally got to the right one, though, it was worth it!
