Senator Inn & Spa

Senator Inn & Spa

8/10 Good
"We only stayed one night on our way from Maine to Rhode Island. The hotel was right off the freeway, but our room was surprisingly quiet. The room was spacious, but dated. It was clean, but there were a few stains on the carpet. Unfortunately, we only stayed one night, so we didn’t have time to use the spa facilities."

Maine Evergreen Hotel, an Ascend Collection Hotel

Maine Evergreen Hotel, an Ascend Collection Hotel

8/10 Good
"Modern hotel with comfortable rooms and nice breakfast. Lots of usb ports. TV was rather small for that size room though. We really appreciated the self serve laundry area (detergent sold at the front desk). Gym was small but well equipped. I took a star off only bc our room (114) backs up to a hallway and every time someone comes thru and the door slams, we can hear and feel it in the room. So don’t stay in a room next to the walk through hallway. Supermarket and bank next door."

Hampton Inn Augusta

Hampton Inn Augusta

8/10 Good
"The hotel has been remodled but it seems some things are brand new and other things seem to look older. Lifts, corridor carpets, bath fixture and fittings, electrical sockets, plates etc all seemed original and not part of remodel with did not give the place a super wow this place has been recently updated look, but the things that were brand new were very obvious but looked a bit mismatched and gave it a grubby feel even though it was clean. Reception staff wonderful , breakfast was ok as included"

Hampton Inn Waterville

Hampton Inn Waterville

8/10 Good
"Everything was excellent about the property with exception of the breakfast. The food was spicier than most motel breakfasts. The coffee was awful, and no milk or chocolate cartons and no fruit. That lowered my excellent rating to good"

Maine Cabin Masters Camp completely redone waiting for a Lake loving family !

Maine Cabin Masters Camp completely redone waiting for a Lake loving family !

10/10 Excellent
"Was extremely pleased with everything about the property, the cleanliness and our reception by Mary and family. We were somewhat prepared about what we would find as we watched Maine Cabin Masters, season 9 episode 1 where we watch the restoration of the property. But seeing it in person was amazing. Words actually fail me. Mary even went so far as to have a fresh baked apple pie (and a bottle of wine) waiting on us when we arrived. Anyone staying in this area should visit the Apple Shed Kitchen and Bakery in Readfield. Everything we tried there was beyond description. Glad we don’t live closer because I would drive a hundred miles to go there. About the home. Everything was ready to move in. The kitchen was well stocked and she even had the makings for S’mores. Every dish, pot or pan you could need or want was there. Heating was no problem with an HVAC. Supplemental heating with an antique pot belly stove added a nice romantic tone. Games and DVD’s (100?) were plentiful. It was a comfortable home. Fishing gear was available as were canoes and a paddle boat. The fishing was good and listening to the loons were fantastic The outside fireplace was large and seasoned wood abundantBottom line, we highly recommend this property for your consideration. We also hope to be back in the future, but will fly in. Getting there, driving around, and heading back to Western North Carolina was about 3500 miles. But it was well worth."
