"reading reviews talked about the smell. It's an old wood smell, I have smelt it before in other old wood(inside) places. The jet tub was WAY big and great. Water was very hot, fridge froze food, no microwave in room. Room was large enough you could of had others sleeping on like a pull out couch. I loved that. It needs a lot of upgrades since things are ageing in the room (pealing wall paper) but otherwise I will go again. The person that checked us in was very friendly and answered our questions about the air plane in the yard like he couldn't wait to tell you, so it was nice. Not far from house on the rock which is where we went and also not far from an amazing BBQ place called Bobs Bitchen' BBQ! There are other places, McD, Subway and so forth. Try this place out! "

"This is our third stay at Phyllis's little slice of heaven. I will not reinvent the wheel by repeating words from our former visit reviews, but I will say that for anyone who loves staying in a well furnished (historical) home with super comfy beds and a well equipped kitchen -- while still being able to bring your four legged friend and still get away from it all -- this is your place.It is certainly our ShangriLa, and we love that Phyllis provides access to such a wonderful dog-friendly home to get away from it all!!"

"Very convenient for those coming to UW Platteville. Under ground parking is very nice plus elevators to go up to your floor from underground parking. Room was clean and bed was very comfortable "

"Our time spent at this property was ideal. It was very spacious for our large group. The views were picturesque as we sipped our coffee on the deck or were walking around the property. We especially enjoyed many hours of fun shooting pool! I would recommend this little piece of heaven to anyone looking to enjoy some time enjoying the piece and quiet of the country."
