"It was a fun stay in Mermaids Den. The property was nicely set up. I like the addition of the TV and heater. That said There were a few issues with the smell of the refrigerator. The heater was unresponsive. The property is literally just a modded out garage. Knowing this beforehand would have changed my decision in where to stay during our stay in Northern California. "I first stayed at the Ginger bread house in the 80ies not long after it became a B&B. It is just as wonderful now as it was then. From tea time to the stroll in the garden is was a magical stay. The one draw back was booking through VRBO. I was not able to contact the hostess directly and wasn't sure how to check in. It is best to make reservations by directly calling them.
