For a start, even before your arrival, the attentive host Carla contacts you to find out how you are getting to Matera and then works with you to make sure you know exactly how to find this absolute gem of a hotel nestling right in the centre of this Unesco World Heritage Site. "Very clean, modern decor, comfortable bed, super spacious bathroom. Good location, 13 mins walk to the Sassi. Host very nice, when we arrived she was waiting outside on the driveway to greet us and lead us to parking spots, otherwise we probably would've needed more time driving around trying to figure out where to park. Very good cappuccino during breakfast. "

"Norica, was a very gracious and helpful host … the facilities are great and the breakfast was supplied every day which was a great way to start the day. The location is perfect and only a short walk and a few stairs to one of the main piazza’s … plenty of dining and drink options with only a short walk to other piazza’s. Access to the sassi’s are also easy and close. We’d highly recommend a guided walking tour to get the history from an expert. We will be back next visit to Italy :)"

"The location was good. Shower is extremely SMALL. There is a shared kitchen , however it's the family's kitchen which makes it VERY uncomfortable to use. The right up is very misleading and makes it sound like the kitchen is to be shared with other guests. A seperate fridge and kettle would help. Parking is limited, however we managed to be able to park out front."

"We were very pleasantly surprised by the lovely quality of this B&B. Our room was very spacious, clean with modern facilities. The owner was friendly and helpful with prompt communication. There was plenty of free street parking very near the property. The breakfast was excellent with a variety of healthy options. "Almost everything was excellent......except for the fact that it was advertised as providing free parking, and it didn’t. I had to pay for overnight parking in a public garage.....which cost almost $30 for the night. Also, Livingston’s is really a B and B, not a hotel, and, as such, was difficult to find because, even though it’s on the Main Street in Matera, there was only a small sign attached to the building to identify it. I have found that situation in several smaller Hotels.com...

"The hotel was located just outside the main town area but was a short walk. Parking is an issue. Very nice breakfast and view across the street. Our room was quite warm because they changed the air system to heat. We enjoyed our stay otherwise."
