Leonardo Hotel Newcastle Quayside
8/10 Good
"Hotel reception, bar and dining areas are quite welcoming. We stayed on the first floor, upon exiting the lift the hallways were not very clean. The room was decent but what we found as well across the hotel there has been some painting done but not to a very good standard. With paint marks on lighting, fans or air conditioning. There is a lot of road work around the hotel which is not advised upon booking and you go round about a mile detour to get to the hotel. The hotel parking is limited which is not advised upon booking either. We were unfortunate to arrive when parking was full and had to park in the expensive car park next door charging £1.25 an hour and this is overnight as well. Otherwise you have to go around the long road works detour to find cheap parking and walk back to the hotel. When we complained on check out Charlotte was not helpful at all and was very rude. Breakfast was decent and lovely staff."

"Great value and location"
Lumley Castle Hotel
8/10 Good
"Enjoyed the experience of staying in a 14th century castle. The hotel being isolated is very quiet and relaxing, and our room was pleasantly different from what you usually get in an ordinary hotel. The staff were friendly and efficient, breakfast was excellent, we ate in the bar in the evening but felt the drinks were on the expensive side. All in all a very interesting and enjoyable couple of days."
Radisson BLU Hotel Durham

"Great stay as always. Clean and comfortable"
Hampton By Hilton Newcastle
8/10 Good
"We were very happy during our stay with all aspects of our other than the lifts. Quite often, only one of the three lifts were in service. Leading to us - and many other customers - having to use the stairs. This is tricky for those who have moderate mobility impairments ( I use a stick for support on anything other than short walks) but a major issue for others with greater mobility limitations who cannot use the stairs. How are these people supposed to be evacuated from the hotel in the event of an emergency? This is an important Health and Safety matter."
Copthorne Hotel Newcastle

"Nice hotel a little bit dated"
Delta Hotels by Marriott Newcastle Gateshead
8/10 Good
"Solid Marriott hotel, the check in staff accommodated my request for early checking since we travelled up for the day of our daughters graduation."
Redworth Hall Hotel
8/10 Good
"Some menu items were small in quantity for their price eg pea ravioli. Rest of menu good. Signage in lifts as to which floor was which difficult especially when the stall said it took them 3 months to get their head around! Overall a good relaxing experience. Thank you."
Malmaison Newcastle
