"The housekeeper was amazing and the owner/manager Dee was kind and professional. Even when our bookimg issues could not be fixed, she still was informative and polite. It is a motel, so we expected the worst. The rooms were clean, sheets were crisp, water pressure is amazing, mini fridge, microwave, tv and super cold AC. Its an older property, but has been updated a lot. For the price, it was absolutely fine. Quiet and no issues! Had 2 rooms and we were able tonhang out in the parking lot...

"The Gillen House is a perfect destination if you are looking for a relaxing and peaceful getaway that is close to Athens and not too far away from Atlanta. The hosts, Edward and Cynzia, were very welcoming and made us feel at home. The food at breakfast was excellent. Especially the steaks and sides that we had for dinner on our arrival evening. The room was spotless and perfect. We definitely enjoyed our stay!"
