"Needed a quick overnight before catching morning flight back to USA, Idaho. Taxi from Rome airport, be sure to get in the local Taxi line up area and not the Rome Taxi line. Wasted about 45 minutes of possible sleep time because we didn’t know this. Taxi to hotel $35 Euros, not negotiable- seems local taxi drivers were all in cahoots together with this price. Drive took longer than expected due to one way traffic out of airport for a distance before we could get on track to hotel. But once...

"The hotel is lovely, appears new and the staff are great. They do have secure off road parking at €12 per night but we didn't have a problem on the street. The only meal is breakfast but there are plenty of places to eat and 10 minutes from the Metro. The one criticism is that there are no carpets anywhere so sound deadening does not exist. You can hear foosteps, doors and trolley bags everywhere. So long as you don't mind being awake for 7am it is perfect. "
