"It was noisy, apparently they allow gatherings in the lobby, so there was a gathering, very noisy, kids screaming dragging the chairs on the floor, adults having loud conversations. It also happened that my room was next to the lobby so the noise was loud. It probably did not affect rooms that were far away from the lobby as much. I did like the cleanliness of the place. It is very close to downtown Traverse City."

"Room and property were clean and staff extremely helpful, very welcoming and friendly. Pricing for our room not facing the beach made it a terrific value. Breakfast, one of 4-5 options of various packaged foods, which was OK if unremarkable, was delivered to your room door in the AM, which was nice. Overall: great value on a nice stay!"

"We stay at this hotel every year for a girls’ soccer tournament, and the main reason we continue choosing this property is the outdoor heated pool area. The girls love being able to swim & do s'mores while the parents relax outside around the fire tables and cabanas. It’s honestly the feature that justifies the higher room rates for us year after year. Unfortunately, this stay was very different from past experiences. Outdoor seating was limited, the cabanas were closed off, the outdoor fire features were not available, and the pool closed at 8:00 PM for adult swim. I even spoke with the front desk to ask whether the cabanas could be opened since they appeared fully intact and not under repair, but I was told they were closed due to the transition to the summer setup. Had we known these amenities would not be available, we likely would have chosen a different hotel at a lower price point. Additionally, our room stayed around 72 degrees and felt very stuffy the entire stay. We were unable to get the temperature lower. Maintenance did come to the room, but the only solution offered was a box fan, which unfortunately didn’t resolve the issue. All that said, this is still a charming hotel in a great location, and we’ve genuinely enjoyed our stays in previous years. This visit, however, did not reflect the experience we’ve come to expect, especially considering the cost was approximately $1,000 for two nights."

"It is a nice little place on the lake. I do feel however that the room could use a good update and that the furniture placement could be different to be more user-friendly. The room I rented said futon which was not a futon, it was a pull out bed. The area is a very small hometown. Feel if you're looking for the conveniences of fast food and such, you will need to travel elsewhere. I do wish the room did have a washer and dryer and a stove and sink which would have gave me more bang for my buck. The description of a kitchenette is a small refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot and toaster. They also could have used a TV up in the main loft. It would have also been nice to know that they were building their docks when we were there for the season and not having them do it at 10:00 or 11:00 at night."
