Top Finstock Station Hotel Reviews

Sturdy's Castle Country Inn
10/10 Excellent
"Beautiful place, very clean and well maintained, bathroom a little dated but room was lovely! Had a curry for evening meal which was exceptionally good and very reasonable price wise.
Breakfast was also lovely. Would definitely go back."

Heythrop Park Hotel - Adults Only
8/10 Good
"Staff are great, facilities are very good and the hotel is in beautiful surroundings. The only thing that let us down was the breakfast at Brasserie32, it was genuinely awful "

Macdonald Bear Hotel
6/10 Okay
"We had an goid stay at Macdonald Bear Hotel. The staff were excellent throughout, friendly, welcoming and very helpful. Our room was a good size and the location is fantastic, especially for exploring Woodstock and Blenheim Palace. Breakfast was ok, decent options but limited buffet. The room itself was a little dated and it wasn’t the quietest stay, mainly due to some very loud air con, even though it was turned off but sounded like rushing water. Overall a pleasant experience thanks to the great service and convenient location."

The Punch Bowl
8/10 Good
"Room was very clean and nice, we stayed in the 2 bedroom suite but there are no doors for the 2 different rooms, walls are soo thin that you can hear everything happening on the hallway outside the room and the constant slamming of the door that connects from the restaurant to the rooms was extremely loud, woke us up constantly in the early morning so bring ear plugs. Location is great."

Marlborough Arms Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"This quirky old hotel was wonderful. The staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel’s age means slanting floors and delightful artwork surround you. Don’t worry about the lift and luggage, the staff is only too willing to lug your stuff! Location to Blenheim, pubs, cute town, bus route is perfect. I stayed for five days and had a new breakfast every morning. Bath products are plentiful and nice. Also, drinks available if pubs aren’t your thing. Would stay again."

Artist Residence Oxfordshire
6/10 Okay
"We only stayed one night and it was an okay enough experience, the staff were friendly and room clean, with ample parking. The amenities in the room were also good for our needs and really nice having some outdoor space. The on site pub was really nice and cosy with some board games which was nice to spend a relaxing evening playing.
My main issue is the upkeep, the pillows underneath the cases looked a bit worse for wear, there were scrapes on the walls and a bit of paint scraped off in the bathroom had left the plaster showing, the shower didn’t drain properly and filled up on the bottom and also was a little grim, maybe a regrout needed or just a deeper clean. Also a bit of drainage issue with sink plug but we managed to sort. The floor tiles in the bathroom also looked dirty, they were clean but it may have been the style or left over grouting so a bit off putting. Lastly the sound insulation was a bit poor and could hear the rooms either side.
For one night it’s not bad but I may have been more bothered staying longer. It’s a nice place just a bit of TLC needed at least for our room"

Kings Arms Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Nice room, small but everything there, in good condition very clean, comfortable bed !
Breakfast included very good full English
buffet for cereal, pastries etc !"

Premier Inn Witney
2/10 Terrible
"Upon arrival we were given a room beside the elevator and main door to the floor. The room smelled and the door from the elevator area would bang every time someone came through. We asked for another room and the less than pleasant staff member did give us a new room which we were appreciative of until we walked in. The overpowering smell of chemical cleaner was intense. The window which could not be opened was of no use. After 5 minutes our eyes were burning, my husband who has no sense of smell said his nose was burning as well. We went down to talk to someone. Neither of the two employees cared or offered a solution. I felt as though I was having an allergic reaction. I did ask if we could be refunded, and that was refused. They were more interested in the local cat outside the front door. We’ve stayed in Premier Inns plenty of time but this will be the last. It was altogether a very unpleasant experience. We travel extensively and this is the first time we’ve had to walk out. Building was dumpy, dirty and staff useless."

Old Swan & Minster Mill Hotel
8/10 Good
"The location was amazing however we felt the price was a little high for what you got. Having to pay an extra £25 per person per day to have access to the spa facilities, at a spa hotel is rediculous to be honest. And having to pay an extra £10 per person per day for a breakfast upgrade also felt a bit unfair, that being said the breakfast was 5*
as nice as our stay was I’m not sure we would come back however I would recommend a visit"
