"I don’t even know where to start. We fell in love with the shepherd’s hut just looking at the pictures. The reality was so much more! It was a 5* experience! Spotlessly clean, comfy bed, amazing views, very private and secluded, cooking wise everything you may need, big bathroom and a powerful shower. Games, wonderfully smelling fresh towels, beautiful grounds, not to mention fresh milk, butter, croissants, yoghurts. Stephen greeted us upon arrival and he was the most accommodating and discreet...

"Friendly welcome. Everything set up and ready for on arrival, including coffee, tea, milk, bread, butter & jam. The Hobbit House is tiny, but so well designed, and it just feels so cozy. Good size patio and gorgeous outdoor furniture, including chairs, side tables, table & benches, gas bbq and fire pits with logs. Really, just the perfect rural retreat. Pub (The Rising Sun) and local shop within walking distance. We're already planning our return!"

"First impressions were amazing, looks exactly like the photos, also very clean and tidy! Had a look around to find a nice surprise in the fridge (thank you), also found some games which was a nice touch. Everything worked, so there was no need to bother the hosts during our stay, but we were struggling to get an uber on our last day and stayed a little over our check out time, this is when Alex came over and asked if everything was ok and provided us with a local taxi company.Definitely...

"The location of these Lodges is excellent. Very tranquil and peaceful, the lake is lovely with swans and cygnets floating about. There were a great number of Canada geese and their goslings wandering about, but they don't interfere with the guests. The Lodge itself, Number 12, could do with a bit of an update, especially the appliances, fridge in particular which was leaky and old. The outside of the Lodge could do with a coat of varnish and really could do with a path in front of the porch...
