"If you’re looking for a cozy, comfortable, relaxing getaway, this is the place for you. From the start Heidi and Gary were incredibly helpful and welcoming and made us feel right at home. Heidi welcomed us with the best banana bread I’ve ever had and Gary ensured we could brave the snow by clearing the parking lot for us. It was the perfect getaway. I highly recommend staying w them, we will absolutely be returning in the future :)"

"We had a wonderful stay in this house! It was clean, well-stocked (they've thought of just about everything you might need), and very convenient for the Porcupine Mountains State Park. Getting there was easy, and the instructions were clear. If you're looking for "fancy" accommodations, you really won't find them in this area - keep in mind that these are simple houses originally built to house miners and their families. But if you want comfort and convenience, this definitely fits the bill.The hot tub was great! One thing that guests should know is that it takes a long time to heat up from the default temperature. Make sure to read the instructions (in the House Manual, but also available online), and let it heat up at least overnight with the cover on top. Believe me, it's worth it!"

"This is the cleanest, most well stocked house we’ve ever stayed in! It was like being welcome at a dear friend’s home where you need to ask for nothing as it’s so thoughtfully ready for you. All of the essentials were there and much more. Heidi even left us with home made french crepes for breakfast, sourdough choco-chip cookies and fresh cream for the great coffee provided! Our table was set for breakfast and the house was decorated for Christmas, even a & mistletoe! We had a white Christmas and hiked up and down the frozen beach with our doggie loving it. We even trudged thru snow in the porkies and on trails along spectacular icy waterfalls. Thank you, Ivan and thank you, Heidi, for a most memorable Christmas for all our family. We hope to return again for more of your hospitality and the beauty of Lake Superior and the UP of Michigan!"

"My wife and I had a great stay at this little cabin. The location is great- right across the street from the big lake, minutes to the Porkies, and a short drive into Ontonagon. The cabin itself is nice and cozy; perfect for a couple. The hosts were welcoming and responsive. Hope to stay again!"

"Fully stocked kitchen for cooking - best ever!House was warm ( it was cold outside) when we entered , backwards of usual rentals- had to ask how to turn it down lol!Host got out kayaks from storage for us to use which we appreciated very much . Only complaint was we did not know the hot tub was already turned off for the season. Sauna was great!This was a great place to stay away from Houghton but still good for traveling to multiple sites in the area."
